What you'll be doing

As aSenior Consultant, Workforce Strategy and Transformationon CIBC's People, Culture and Talent team, you'll help shape and advance future-focused workforce initiatives that support CIBC's long-term priorities. Working with a high degree of independence, you'll lead research, analysis and workstream delivery for workforce transformation initiatives, including future of work, talent strategy, operating model design, productivity and HR transformation. You'll translate internal and external insights into clear recommendations, executive-ready materials and practical roadmaps that support senior leader decision-making and help move priority initiatives forward.

At CIBC we enable the work environment most optimal for you to thrive in your role. You'll have the flexibility to manage your work activities within a hybrid work arrangement where you'll spend 1-3 days per week on-site, while other days will be remote

How you'll succeed
  • Future-focused thinking - You conduct internal and external research to identify emerging workforce trends, opportunities and risks. You translate insights into practical recommendations that support CIBC's talent priorities, future ways of working and workforce transformation initiatives.
  • Workstream ownership - You lead moderately complex workstreams with independence, from problem definition through analysis, recommendations, roadmap progress updates and execution support. You bring structure, sound judgment and follow-through to ambiguous business challenges.
  • Human capital consulting and advisory - You provide specialized advice on workforce transformation, HR transformation, talent strategy, organization effectiveness and operating model opportunities. You develop options, business cases and recommendations that help stakeholders understand trade-offs and make informed decisions.
  • Analytics and insights - You use people data, business insights and market research to identify opportunities, assess impact and measure progress. You are comfortable working with quantitative and qualitative information to create meaningful insights and outcome-focused recommendations.
  • Transformation delivery and change support - You support the development of frameworks, roadmaps, implementation plans and change tactics that help move priority workforce initiatives from concept to action. You anticipate risks, surface issues and recommend practical solutions to support adoption and execution.
  • Stakeholder engagement - You build trusted relationships with internal and external partners, gather input, validate solutions and support alignment across teams. You bring an enterprise mindset and help connect ideas across the organization.
  • Executive communication and storytelling - You develop clear, compelling presentations, whitepapers, briefing materials and recommendations for senior leaders and executive forums. You translate complex concepts into concise narratives that build understanding, alignment and action.


Who you are
  • You have a degree/diploma in Business, Human Resources, Organizational Effectiveness, Strategy or a related field. You have experience with HR concepts, with a focus on HR transformation, workforce transformation, talent strategy, analytics, change management and/or human capital consulting.
  • You can demonstrate strong human capital knowledge and an understanding of how HR enables business priorities, talent outcomes and future ways of working.
