As a Senior Advanced Project Engineer, you will lead high-impact engineering initiatives supporting the renowned CFE738 and TFE731 turbofan engine programs, trusted worldwide for their performance and reliability.

In this highly visible role, you will collaborate with world-class engineers, customers, suppliers, certification authorities, and executive leadership to maintain design excellence and drive innovative product improvements across legacy turbofan platforms. You will spearhead complex, multidisciplinary projects spanning engine systems including the fan, compressor, combustor, turbine, exhaust, and powerplant installation systems, ensuring technical integrity, regulatory compliance, and successful project execution.

You will report directly to our Sr. Project Engineering Manager at the Honeywell Aerospace facility located at 111 S 34th St. Phoenix, Arizona, 85034. This role is eligible for hybrid work per Honeywell Aerospace Policy, except for the first 90 days.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Leading root cause investigations and implementing corrective actions.
  • Executing changes to designs and approved source lists for engine and powerplant components.
  • Schedule and milestone development/management.
  • Cost and budget management, including estimate development and project planning.
  • Technical requirements development.
  • Project performance and technical execution.
  • Risk/opportunity development and management.
  • Vendor interface and management of technical requirements.
  • Presenting project plans and status to customers, operators, and internal stakeholders.
  • Orchestrate documentation efforts for various levels of engine/component certification and/or qualification projects.
  • Performs co-authoring/writing of documents for organization, technical congruency, compliance to customer requirements, and internal and external standards.
  • Participates in efforts with team members and outside vendors to revise and maintain technical publications.


Qualifications

YOU MUST HAVE
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution in a technical discipline such as the sciences,
  • technology, engineering or mathematics.
  • Minimum of 5 years of Project engineering or Program management experience within the aerospace industry.

WE VALUE
  • Technical publications and maintenance manual experience related to aerospace products.
  • Direct experience with the design, development and certification of turbomachinery or complex aircraft systems.
  • Experience with turbomachine engine installations.
  • Knowledge of 14 CFR Part 33 or equivalent certification requirements.
  • Aircraft manufacturer and/or part 25 hardware experience.
  • Direct experience with root cause-corrective action investigations, cost reduction programs or new product development.
  • Experience working with collaboratively with suppliers to turn designs into hardware and solve problems in production.
  • Demonstrated ability to plan technical programs, including budget and schedule estimation, resource planning and risk and requirements management.
  • Demonstrated ability to recognize cost and schedule risks before they can cause significant program impact, and the ability to develop and execute sound risk mitigation plans.
  • The ability to provide technical contributions essential to the successful completion of projects.
