Senior Account Executive

About the role

This role serves as a senior day-to-day client lead, building trusted relationships with stakeholders, guiding strategic communications, and ensuring marketing initiatives remain aligned with business objectives. The position translates client goals into detailed tactical marketing plans and creative direction, then leads the execution of complex integrated campaigns by coordinating cross-functional teams, external partners, budgets, timelines, approvals, and deliverables. It monitors campaign and business performance, analyzes market and competitive trends, and provides actionable recommendations that improve effectiveness, resolve challenges, and support client growth. In addition, the role strengthens agency success by identifying opportunities to expand partnerships, managing delivery risks and workflow with accountability, and mentoring junior team members while consistently modeling values such as humanity, diversity, integrity, tenacity, and curiosity.

What you'll do

  • Manage Client Relationships and Strategic Communications - Serve as a primary contact for assigned clients and stakeholders by managing day-to-day communications, delivering recommendations, addressing business challenges, and ensuring alignment between client objectives and campaign execution. Build trusted relationships through responsiveness, sound judgment, and proactive communication.
  • Develop and Execute Tactical Marketing Plans - Translate strategic marketing objectives into detailed campaign and activation plans that define audiences, messaging, channels, deliverables, timing, and success measures. Help ensure plans support client business goals and local market opportunities.
  • Lead Complex Campaign Execution - Manage the successful execution of integrated marketing initiatives by coordinating internal teams, external partners, client stakeholders, timelines, budgets, approvals, and deliverables while maintaining quality and accountability throughout the process.
  • Monitor Performance and Provide Recommendations - Analyze campaign results, business performance, competitive activity, and market conditions to identify insights, optimization opportunities, and recommendations that improve effectiveness and support client objectives.
  • Manage Budgets, Workflow, and Delivery Risks - Monitor project scope, timelines, budgets, and agency workflows to maintain financial accuracy, identify risks, resolve issues proactively, and ensure project delivery aligns with client expectations.
  • Develop Creative Briefs and Execution Guidance - Prepare clear creative briefs, project direction, and implementation recommendations that help internal teams develop work aligned with client objectives, market conditions, and campaign goals.
  • Mentor and Support Junior Team Members - Provide guidance, coaching, and quality review support to Account Coordinators and less experienced Account Executives. Share knowledge, reinforce best practices, and contribute to a collaborative team environment.
  • Contribute to Account Growth and Client Success - Identify opportunities to improve client outcomes, strengthen partnerships, and expand services while supporting account growth, retention, and overall agency success.

Qualifications

  • Relevant Degree - Bachelor's degree in marketing, advertising, communications, business, or a closely related field, or equivalent related professional experience demonstrating the ability to support strategic marketing planning, client management, and cross-functional campaign execution.

  • Multi-Market Marketing Experience - Experience supporting franchise, multi-location, regional, or distributed business models is preferred, including responsibility for adapting marketing activities to local market conditions, stakeholder needs, business objectives, and performance insights across multiple markets or locations.
