Senior Client Executive - Employee Benefits
Position Summary
Are you passionate about building long-term client relationships and helping employers develop innovative employee benefits strategies? We are seeking an experienced Senior Client Executive to serve as the strategic advisor and primary relationship manager for our key employee benefits clients.
In this role, you will oversee all aspects of your client relationships, from strategic planning and annual renewals to day-to-day service coordination and vendor management. You will work closely with clients, insurance carriers, and internal teams to deliver exceptional service while helping organizations maximize the value of their employee benefits programs.
Key Responsibilities
• Serve as the primary strategic advisor and relationship manager for a portfolio of large and complex employee benefits clients.
• Build and maintain trusted relationships with business owners, executives, HR professionals, and finance leaders.
• Lead annual renewal strategy, carrier negotiations, financial reviews, and executive presentations.
• Coordinate all aspects of client service, ensuring timely, accurate, and proactive support.
• Advise clients on employee benefits strategy, funding arrangements, compliance, wellness initiatives, pharmacy strategies, and cost containment solutions.
• Analyze claims experience, financial reports, and utilization trends to develop meaningful recommendations that support clients' business objectives.
• Partner with Producers, Account Managers, Analysts, Compliance Specialists, and carrier partners to deliver a seamless client experience.
• Lead implementations, carrier transitions, open enrollment planning, and major client initiatives.
• Identify opportunities to strengthen client relationships, improve benefit programs, and support organic account growth.
• Mentor Account Managers and junior team members while fostering collaboration and continuous improvement across the department.
Qualifications
• Bachelor's Degree required.
• Minimum of 7 years of employee benefits experience within an insurance agency, consulting firm, or insurance carrier.
• Active Life and Health Insurance License.
• Strong knowledge of fully insured level-funded, self-funded, and alternative funding strategies.
• Excellent communication, presentation, relationship management, and consulting skills.
• Strong analytical, financial, and problem-solving abilities.
• Proven ability to manage multiple priorities while delivering exceptional client experience.
