The Security Specialist will perform a wide range of day-to-day administrative security activities associated with highly sensitive and classified environments, including security management of all security aspects related to a Sensitive Compartmentalized Information Facility (SCIF) and, if necessary, a Special Access Program Facility (SAPF).
The Security Specialist will assist the Program Manager (PM) and Program Security Officer (PSO) with the overall security management functions of the SCIF and, if necessary, a SAPF. This includes conducting security reviews, inspections and accreditation for the SCIF and SAPF. The Security Specialist will process visitor requests, maintain personnel access databases and security files; review documents for appropriate classification; and provide initial, annual and exit security training.
The Security Specialist will also assist the PSO and Information Systems Security Officer (ISSO) with all security requirements of a SCIF and SAPF, including network and physical security, and associated documentation.
The candidate will ensure adherence to applicable laws as well as national, DoW, and other SAP security policies and requirements such as DoW Special Access Program (SAP) Security Manuals: DoDM 5205.07 Volumes 1 - 4.
Requirements:
- Familiar with Air Staff and joint administrative and operations instructions/procedures and can address programming, planning, budgeting, policy, and warfighting operational implications with particular interest in safeguarding classified, SCI, and SAP material.
- Three years of current experience within the last five years in providing interpretation and applying major policy and procedural guidance documentation with regards to the JAFAN for the DoW/DAF as it pertains to security management of systems and facilities.
- Three years of current experience within the last five years conducting security inspections/reviews, providing security management of facilities and equipment used in processing classified, SCI, and/or SAP material, accomplishing periodic reports, and overseeing security matters to include communications security, annual training, accreditation standards, physical security requirements, and documentation.
- Three years of current experience within the last five years of office automation to include MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, Outlook, and utilizing operating environments such as the Internet, Secret Internet Protocol Router Network (SIPRnet), Non-Classified Internet Protocol Router Network (NIPRnet), and Joint Worldwide Intelligence Communications System (JWICS).

Salary range for the position is $100,000 - $160,000 per year. Specific compensation will be determined by several factors including experience, education, skills, and knowledge. We also offer medical/dental/vision benefits and 401k contribution.
