You will build and lead a high-performing accounting team, serve as the primary interface with external auditors, and partner closely with the CFO and legal counsel on all transactions, disclosures, and regulatory matters. This role is explicitly structured as a path to Chief Accounting Officer as the company scales toward and beyond a liquidity event.

Responsibilities
  • Own the preparation and filing of all SEC reports, including 10-K, 10-Q, 8-K, and proxy statements, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and alignment with GAAP and SEC disclosure requirements
  • Serve as principal liaison to external auditors (PCAOB-registered firm), managing audit and review cycles with efficiency and transparency, and lead SOX 404 compliance including design and maintenance of internal controls and deficiency remediation
  • Partner with Investor Relations and Legal on earnings releases, analyst communications, and registration statement preparation, including S-1 readiness where applicable
  • Author and maintain technical accounting memos on complex topics including ASC 606, ASC 340-40, ASC 718, ASC 842, ASC 805, and emerging areas specific to AI-based business models; serve as the company's internal subject matter authority on US GAAP and IFRS

  • Partner with FP&A on management reporting, ensuring alignment between GAAP results and non-GAAP metrics used in board and investor materials
  • Build, mentor, and retain a world-class accounting team; define career ladders, set performance standards, and cultivate a culture of ownership and excellence
  • Drive ERP optimization and automation initiatives to scale accounting operations, and collaborate cross-functionally with Legal, Tax, Engineering, and Revenue Operations
  • Support due diligence and purchase price accounting for acquisitions, and advise on the accounting structuring of equity financings, secondary transactions, and SPAC or direct listing considerations

Minimum Qualifications
  • CPA license required
  • 15+ years of progressive accounting experience combining Big Four public accounting and industry leadership
  • Demonstrated leadership preparing a company for public market readiness, including prior involvement in S-1 preparation, IPO, or SPAC transaction
  • Deep, hands-on expertise in SEC reporting: 10-K, 10-Q, 8-K preparation; SOX 404 compliance; and PCAOB audit management
  • Advanced technical accounting proficiency across ASC 606, ASC 718, ASC 842, ASC 805, ASC 815/480, and ASC 810
  • Prior experience as a controller, director of SEC reporting, or equivalent senior accounting leadership role at a technology or SaaS company
  • Strong track record managing Big Four auditor relationships and navigating complex audit cycles independently

Preferred Qualifications
  • Additional credentials such as CA, FCCA, or CMA
  • Experience supporting AI, SaaS, or cloud-based businesses with complex multi-element revenue arrangements
  • Familiarity with IFRS and international statutory reporting for global subsidiaries
  • ERP implementation experience (NetSuite, Workday, or similar)
  • Exposure to M&A integration, purchase price allocation, and post-acquisition accounting

Why Join Us?

  • State-of-the-art technology
  • Experience world-class leadership
