Full Job Description
Under general supervision, Regulatory Affairs Scientist I will support food product compliance by helping to ensure ingredients, formulas/recipes, labels, claims, and supporting documentation meet applicable food regulations, internal policies and customer requirements. This role works closely with cross-functional teams throughout the commercialization process and product life cycle.

What you will do...
  • Conduct routine research and apply applicable regulations to food product formulas/recipes, ingredient documentation, preliminary label designs, packaging materials and claims using the Code of Federal Regulations, related governmental guidance's, and internal corporate policies.
  • Develop label content for product formula/recipes using Campbell's formula management system, including the ingredient statement, nutrition facts panel, claims (including any corresponding disclosures), net weight, statement of identity, allergens and other labeling information.
  • Prepare, organize, and maintain regulatory documents, substantiation files, and other compliance records.
  • Review label mechanicals for accuracy.
  • Submit labels and documentation for 3rd certification (USDA, Organic, Non-GMO Project Verified, Gluten free, etc.), as applicable.
  • Support project timelines by ensuring accurate and timely completion of tasks, attend cross-functional meetings, and clearly communicate regulatory guidance.
  • Follow standard operating procedures, assist with process improvement, data management, training materials and special projects as needed.
  • Develop competency in cultivating external relationships with applicable government agencies and trade associations.

  • General knowledge of FDA and USDA labeling regulations and regulatory landscape within the food industry.
  • Familiarity with common food formulations and manufacturing processes.
  • Experience with formula management databases used for labeling.
  • Hands on experience with processes for manufacturing foods and beverages.


Compensation and Benefits:

The target base salary range for this full-time, salaried position is between
$68,700-$94,500

Individual base pay depends on work location and additional factors such as experience, job-related skills, and relevant education or training. Total pay may include other forms of compensation. In addition, we offer competitive health, dental, 401k and wellness benefits beginning on the first day of employment.
