Sales Manager - Nutritional Ingredients Northeast United States | Remote A leading global supplier of nutraceutical and functional ingredients is seeking a Sales Manager to drive growth across the Northeast United States. This is an opportunity to join a well-established organization with a strong reputation in the health and wellness industry, representing a portfolio of scientifically supported branded ingredients and commodity raw materials supplied to dietary supplement brands, contract manufacturers, and ingredient distributors. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing new business opportunities, growing existing customer relationships, and expanding market presence throughout the territory. This role offers significant autonomy and is ideally suited to a motivated sales professional who thrives on building relationships, identifying opportunities, and delivering results. Key Responsibilities Develop and execute a territory sales strategy to achieve revenue and profitability objectives. Identify and secure new business opportunities with dietary supplement brands, contract manufacturers, and ingredient distributors. Build and maintain strong customer relationships through regular engagement and consultative selling. Manage and grow existing accounts while expanding the customer base within the territory. Promote a portfolio of proprietary branded ingredients and commodity raw materials. Maintain accurate sales activity, pipeline, and forecasting information through Salesforce CRM. Monitor market trends, competitor activity, and emerging ingredient opportunities. Attend industry trade shows, conferences, and customer meetings throughout the territory. Collaborate closely with internal sales, marketing, regulatory, and operations teams to support customer success. Consistently achieve and exceed sales, revenue, and gross profit targets. Requirements Bachelor's degree in Business, Nutrition, Food Science, Biology, Marketing, or a related field preferred. 3-5 years of sales experience within the nutraceutical, dietary supplement, food ingredient, pharmaceutical, or related industries. Proven track record of developing new business and growing customer accounts. Strong understanding of nutritional ingredients, dietary supplements, or related products. Experience using Salesforce CRM or similar sales management systems. Excellent communication, relationship-building, and presentation skills. Self-motivated, organized, and results-oriented with a proactive approach to business development. Ability to travel throughout the Northeast territory as required. Preferred Existing relationships within the dietary supplement, contract manufacturing, or ingredient sectors. Experience selling ingredients, raw materials, or other technical B2B products. Additional language capabilities, particularly Mandarin or Hindi, are advantageous.
