Overview
The Pre-Sales Technical Consultant provides advanced technical expertise to support the development, positioning, and implementation of complex products, applications, and solutions. This role partners closely with sales teams and customers to translate business needs into effective technical solutions.
Key Responsibilities
Location: Must reside in Ohio, Michigan or St. Louis, MO- Deliver pre-sales technical support throughout the sales cycle, including discovery, solution design, and technical validation.
- Use deep product knowledge to support sales teams and customers through presentations, demonstrations, and technical discussions.
- Assess customer requirements and recommend appropriate company products or solutions to meet business needs.
- Develop detailed product specifications and contribute to design and implementation plans for complex solutions.
- Build proof-of-concepts or rapid prototypes to demonstrate solution feasibility and value.
- Provide technical consultation, product capability assessments, and solution validation for prospective customers.
- Resolve a wide range of technical challenges using creativity, sound judgment, and expertise.
- Collaborate with senior internal and external stakeholders within the area of specialization.
- Contribute to organizational goals by influencing solution strategy and technical direction.

- Seasoned professional with a comprehensive understanding of their technical discipline and working knowledge of adjacent fields.
- Demonstrates strong analytical skills and the ability to evaluate diverse, complex problems.
- Exercises good judgment in selecting methods, tools, and techniques to achieve optimal solutions.
- Operates with minimal supervision on day-to-day tasks and receives general guidance on new assignments.
- Capable of independently determining approaches and ensuring objectives are met upon completion.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in a related field and 4-6 years of relevant experience, or equivalent professional experience.
Forcepoint is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices. The salary range and variable compensation for this role is 230,000.00 - 250,000.00 and represents the low and high end of compensation for this position. Actual salaries are determined by various factors including, but not limited to, location, experience, and performance.
