Summary:
Supports the educational needs of clinical staff for the advancement of clinical practice and professional development. Utilizes evidence-based methodology to build educational plans and programs. Demonstrates expertise in clinical practice, and collaborates and consults with clinical administrative disciplines. Continually evaluates quality data, including nursing quality indicators, to guide educational needs of nursing staff. Collaborates with clinical nurse specialists on evaluation of best practices and supports the implementation and education of evidence based care strategies. Coordinates with clinical nurse specialists and workforce RN educators in the design, implementation, and evaluation of educational programs which facilitate the professional growth, skill development, and competency attainment for Summa Health System staff.

Formal Education Required:
a. Master's Degree in Nursing, Education, or related field ED preferred.
b. Baccalaureate Degree in Nursing and currently enrolled in Master's Degree program required.
c. Licensed as a Registered Nurse in the state of Ohio
d. Graduate of a program of professional nursing that is accredited by the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE) or Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing (ACEN)

Experience & Training Required:
a. Three (3) years Professional RN experience
b. One (1) year experience in education of adults
c. Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification
d. ACLS, PALS certification required based on area of specialty
e. ANCC Nursing Professional Development Board Certification (preferred)

Other Skills, Competencies and Qualifications:
a. Excellent verbal and written communication skills
b. Ability to work collaboratively with multi-disciplinary personnel, Medical Staff, and community representatives
c. Ability to use computer and audiovisual equipment
d. Population Specific Competency: Ability to effectively interact with populations of patients/customers with an understanding of their needs for self-respect and dignity

Level of Physical Demands:
a. Medium: Exerts 20-50 pounds of force occasionally and/or 10 to 25 pounds of force frequently, and/or a negligible amount of force continuously to move objects.

$37.40/hr - $56.11/hr
The salary range on this job posting/advertising is base salary exclusive of any bonuses or differentials. Many factors, such as years of relevant experience and geographical location are considered when determining the starting rate of pay.
