Full Job Description
Lead the strategy, execution, and governance of complex risk data, reporting, and regulatory initiatives supporting the Risk Management Organization. This role will play a critical leadership position in the modernization of risk and finance data platforms, including cloud migration efforts, implementation of Axiom regulatory reporting solutions, and delivery of Basel III Endgame reporting requirements. Responsible for coordinating cross-functional stakeholders, overseeing data sourcing and integration from multiple enterprise systems, establishing operational governance, and ensuring the accuracy, completeness, and timeliness of data used for regulatory and risk reporting. The role will lead a team focused on data staging, transformation, reporting infrastructure, and regulatory reporting readiness while supporting strategic initiatives involving loans, deposits, derivatives, securities, collateral, and related risk domains. Provide leadership and direction for multiple teams to ensure timely and accurate execution of reports, analyses, data, system-related or operational tasks. 2. Ensure that key departmental processes are documented and that appropriate controls are in place. 3. Develop consultative relationships with senior leaders within the Risk Management Organization and other areas of Truist. Engage with stakeholders to identify business objectives and scope solution requirements. 4. Plan and manage complex projects, such as development of new or modified reporting in response to process, system, regulatory, or organizational changes. 5. Recruit, train, develop and retain top quality talent. 6. Set the direction for multiple teams and communicate individual and team priorities. Manage deliverables for the team against expected results with a focus on operational and tactical activities as well as strategic considerations. 7. Identify and resolve technical, operational, risk management, business, and organizational challenges. Knowledge of the external environment, including Truist's competition, regulatory requirements and trends, and the strategies employed to continually meet the demands of clients and regulators. 5. Ability to lead and manage performance of a team or multiple teams against a set of financial and operational objectives. Preferred Qualifications: 1. Graduate degree in Finance, Accounting, Risk Management, Information Systems, Data Analytics, Computer Science, or a related field. 2. 15+ years of experience in banking, regulatory reporting, risk management, finance, data management, business intelligence, technology, or related disciplines. 3. Strong knowledge of regulatory reporting requirements, including FR Y-9C, Call Reports, Basel III Endgame, capital reporting, and related banking regulations. 4. Experience supporting or implementing Axiom regulatory reporting solutions, including data sourcing, mapping, validation, business rule execution, and reporting processes. 5. Demonstrated expertise in data engineering, data integration, ETL processes, data lineage, data governance, and data quality management. 6. Experience leading large-scale regulatory, risk, or finance data transformation programs, including cloud migration initiatives, enterprise data warehouse modernization, and strategic data platform implementations. 7. Experience supporting cloud-based data platforms, enterprise data warehouses, and large-scale data migration initiatives. 8. Experience working with complex banking data domains, including loans, deposits, derivatives, securities, collateral, and other balance sheet products. 9. Advanced technical skills in SQL, Python, data modeling, data analysis, and reporting technologies such as SAS, Tableau, Qlik, Snowflake, or similar platforms. 10. Proven ability to analyze complex regulatory requirements and translate them into actionable data, reporting, and operational solutions. 11. Experience working in highly regulated banking environments with strong controls, governance, and risk management disciplines. 12. Ability to manage multiple concurrent initiatives and deliver high-quality results within aggressive regulatory-driven timelines.
