Responsibilities

The Research Engineer will apply their expertise and knowledge to technical projects, and find innovative, cost-effective means to conduct and improve research, techniques, technologies, and products. The role will be accountable for designing, developing, conducting, and evaluating new approaches to ensure research and project objectives are met. The Research Engineer will be responsible for associated laboratory work, and will generate, evaluate and analyze data, prepare and present reports and findings.

The Research Engineer will conduct detailed compoent tests of equipment at Eden Energy equipment in Guelph and conduct fundamental experiments on melting/solidification of Phase-change materials (PCMs) for thermal storage in research labs. This role will independently conduct experiments on melting/solidification of PCMs andassist the work of other HQP in the research group.

Qualifications

Education:
- Master's degree in a relevant discipline, PhD in relevant position preferred

Experience:
- 3 years' working experience in a related academic research environment
- Work on postdoctoral research portfolio, directly related to the research focus preferred
