Job Title
Representative Senior, BPS Client Contact (Qualified Plan Document Analyst)
About the Role
You will analyze, interpret, and draft retirement plan documents to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and alignment with client objectives. You will partner with cross-functional teams and clients to design, review, and maintain qualified plan documentation across its lifecycle. This includes supporting complex events such as plan mergers, conversions, and restatements. Success in this role is defined by accuracy, compliance adherence, and the ability to translate technical requirements into clear documentation.
What You Will Be Doing
• Analyze retirement plan documents to assess design features, compliance requirements, and regulatory alignment
• Translate business and client requirements into customized, compliant prototype plan documents
• Draft, maintain, and update plan documents including 401(k), profit sharing, and money purchase plans
• Perform protected benefits reviews to preserve participant rights during plan changes and conversions
• Identify inconsistencies, gaps, and risks across plan documents and recommend effective solutions
• Ensure all documents align with current IRS, ERISA, and applicable regulatory guidance
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders including legal, compliance, operations, and client-facing teams
• Support development of plan design documentation and implementation materials
• Manage multiple projects while meeting deadlines in a fast-paced, regulated environment
• Contribute to process improvements, quality standards, and documentation best practices
Required Qualifications
• Bachelor's degree in business, finance, or related field, or equivalent practical experience
• Strong knowledge of defined contribution retirement plans and plan document structures
• Working knowledge of ERISA, IRS qualification rules, and regulatory compliance standards
• Experience analyzing plan documents, including amendments, restatements, and conversions
• Ability to interpret complex legal and technical information with high attention to detail
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills
• Excellent written communication skills with the ability to produce clear, structured documentation
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and collaborate effectively across teams
Preferred Qualifications
• QKA (Qualified 401(k) Administrator) certification or advanced credential such as QKC or ERPA
• Experience with plan mergers, conversions, and protected benefits analysis
• Familiarity with plan document systems such as Relius or similar platforms
• Experience maintaining plan document libraries or prototype language databases
• Exposure to document quality assurance processes and discrepancy resolution
