Location: Austin, TX

Facility: Dell Seton Medical Center

Department/Specialty: Operating Room

Schedule: Evening | Full Time Board Runner Monday - Thursday 12p-10:30pm with on call rotation, holiday assigned on rotation.

How you'll make an impact in this role

  • Lead Licensed Registered Nurse team operations by coordinating staffing, patient assignments, and workflow to deliver safe, high-quality patient care throughout each shift.
  • Assess patient care needs and coordinate direct patient care assignments, ensuring appropriate care delivery and positive outcomes for diverse patient populations.
  • Provide leadership, coaching, and performance feedback to nursing and support staff while promoting clinical excellence, compliance, and quality improvement initiatives.
  • Responsible for ensuring daily service line needs are met, supporting the team through education, precepting, facilitating daily workflow, and equipment/supply needs. The OR supervisor aligns and partners with leadership in driving unit goals, safety/quality initiatives, patient and physician satisfaction, and in supporting a positive team culture.

What minimum requirements you'll need

Licensure / Certification / Registration:

  • Registered Nurse credentialed from the Texas Board of Nursing obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required.
  • One or more of the following required:
    • Advanced Life Support obtained within 6 Months (180 days) of hire date or job transfer date. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
    • BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
  • Pediatric Advanced Life Support preferred. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.


Education:

  • Required professional licensure/certification AND 1 year of cumulative job specific experience required.

What additional preferences we're seeking

  • 2+ years experience OR RN experience
  • 2+ years Board runner experience
  • Level 1 trauma experience
