Pediatric Emergency Department (Peds ED) - Travel RN OpportunityShift Details
- Schedule: Day / Evening / Night Rotating Shifts
- Weekends, Holidays, On-Call, Callback, and Charge duties per unit needs
- 4x12-hour shifts
- 48 hours per week strongly preferred
Unit Overview
- Pediatric Emergency Department providing family-centered care to patients under the age of 19
- Level 1 pediatric trauma and burn center
- Complex tertiary care case mix
- Unit is comprised of:
- 18 general care beds
- 1 critical care bed
- 4 urgent care beds
- Access to a shared 7-bed trauma bay (shared with adult ED)
- Staff are trained to function in a fast-paced and challenging environment
- Scope of care ranges from treat-and-release to acute critical care and trauma
Required Qualifications
- Active New York State RN License (NY license only)
- Minimum 2 years of Pediatric Emergency Department experience
- BLS certification - American Heart Association only
- PALS certification - American Heart Association only
- ACLS certification - American Heart Association only
- NIHSS certification
Preferred Qualifications
- Burn care experience (highly desirable)
- TNCC certification
- ATCN certification
- ABLS certification
