Full Job Description
We are currently seeking a Regional Sales Manager to join our team of managers in Greater Toronto Area.
As a Regional Sales Manager, your role will be to:
Maximize district revenue for all product categories to meet and exceed company objectives by taking necessary actions (strategies, recommendations, new ideas, etc.).
Ensure consistency and quality of the customer experience across all points of sale in the district to foster customer loyalty by adhering to the standards set by the company.
Act as a mentor and resource person for district managers in personnel management, performance, and behavior, ensuring compliance with applicable laws and company HR policies/procedures.
Oversee the daily operations of the district stores to ensure efficient cost/operating expense management and compliance with company strategies, rules, policies, procedures, and working methods.
Plan, direct, and evaluate district sales service activities.
Establish, communicate, and follow up on daily objectives with team members.
Contribute to the strategic planning regarding new product and service lines.
Recruit, organize, train, and manage district managers and representatives.
Visit the territory stores and complete the related reports.
Understand and review sales objectives/financial data and communicate and follow up on them by holding regular individual or team meetings.
Analyze specific needs of district stores and ensure the implementation of initiatives to address them and seize every business opportunity through the managers.
Ensure good communication/relationship with employees and customers while holding the team accountable and managing issues.
Supervise the district managers' team, assign tasks, and provide coaching/guidance for development and improvement purposes.
Participate in recruitment (e.g., needs validation, interviews, etc.), and measure the integration of new employees and the progress of their training.
Evaluate, in collaboration with district managers, sales representatives based on established performance criteria, and act as an advisor for the managers regarding discipline in collaboration with the HR team.
Ensure compliance with regular operation hours and allocated hour budgets.
Monitor the application of established procedures from store opening to closing (daily activities) - Daily report management, physical installation management, merchandising, inventory, administrative follow-up, fraud prevention, etc.
Perform any other related duties.
Your Profile:
Proven experience (minimum 3 years) in the retail sales sector, combined with experience in a management role or previous experience in a retail environment with equivalent levels of responsibility: Regional Manager, General Manager, District Manager, etc.
In-depth knowledge of team management/personnel management.
Strong expertise in budget management and strategic planning.
Good practical knowledge of general retail sales procedures.
Experience in the telecommunications/technology industry (Asset).
Training in management (e.g., business management or business administration) (Asset).
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and IT skills.
Fluency in both French and English, spoken and written.
Specific skills sought: Results-oriented, interpersonal and communication skills, strong customer service orientation, leadership/influence ability, problem-solving skills, organization and planning, creativity/innovation, and ability to work under pressure.
Flexible availability (day/evening/weekend).
