Full Job Description
What You'll Do
Own and continuously improve the systems, workflows, and infrastructure that power recruiting at Rillet.
Partner closely with recruiters to identify the biggest sources of friction, manual work, and unreliable data - then prioritize what will have the most impact.
Build solutions yourself, from Ashby workflows and automations to Slack bots, AI-powered tools, integrations, and lightweight internal applications.
Diagnose root causes instead of patching symptoms, redesigning the underlying process when tooling alone won't solve the problem.
Make our recruiting data trustworthy and useful, giving the team clear visibility into pipeline health, funnel performance, and where processes are breaking.
Automate repetitive recruiter work while being thoughtful about what should remain human and manual.
Own recruiting processes after launch - driving adoption, measuring whether they work, and iterating when they don't.
Build simple, scalable documentation so systems and processes stay healthy as the recruiting team and company grow.
Evaluate and implement new recruiting technology, AI tools, and workflows that make our team significantly more effective.
Right-size solutions for Rillet today while building with enough flexibility to evolve as we scale.
Who We're Looking For
You're a hands-on builder who can turn operational problems into working workflows, automations, integrations, or tools.
Strong judgment and systems thinking, with an ability to cut through messy problems, find root causes, prioritize what matters most, and leave lower-impact problems alone.
Comfortable experimenting with tools like Claude, Cursor, Zapier, n8n, APIs, and scripts. You don't need to be a software engineer, but you should be excited to build.
Deeply recruiter-first, with a desire to understand how the team actually works and where the biggest pain points are before designing solutions.
You take ownership from problem solution implementation adoption, with the follow-through to make sure what you build continues working over time.
You favor simple, effective solutions over unnecessary complexity, know when not to automate, and build for the company we are today.
Able to earn buy-in, navigate disagreement, and drive adoption without relying on authority or escalation - while being willing to change your approach when something isn't working.
Highly organized and comfortable operating with speed and ambiguity, with strong documentation and processes that others can easily understand and maintain.
