What You Will DoJoin the Advanced Products & Solutions (APS) Mission Area within the Systems Engineering Center, where we design and develop advanced radar and early-warning sensor systems for the warfighter. We are seeking Radar Systems Engineers who thrive in a fast-paced environment, enjoy solving complex technical problems, and are eager to support innovative sensor and radar programs.
- You will work alongside experienced engineers to define system architecture, develop requirements, perform analysis and modeling, and support integration, testing, and flight activities across the full product lifecycle.
- Support development, analysis, documentation, and verification of system requirements using DOORS
- Generate system CONOPS and system architectures.
- Assist with radar mode requirement development and system performance assessments.
- Conduct modeling, simulation, and data analysis using tools such as MATLAB, Python, and C++.
- Participate in hardware/software integration, troubleshooting, and hands-on laboratory testing.
- Support verification, validation, flight test, production, and post-deployment activities.
- Perform trade studies, functional/physical analyses, and MBSE-based system design.
- Prepare and present technical reports, findings, and briefings to internal and external stakeholders.
Qualifications You Must Have- Masters Degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) obtained by start date
- Experience in Systems Engineering or knowledge of radar fundamentals
- Experience with algorithm design, requirements development, software/hardware integration, data analysis using Matlab, and configuration management.
Experience may be obtained through on-the-job experience, research, coursework, or projects.
Qualifications We Prefer- Secret Security Clearance
- 3.5 GPA or higher
- Major: in Electrical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Mechanical Engineering, Applied Mathematics, Physics.
- Programming experience in Java, C++, Python.
- Proficiency in MATLAB
- Experience with:
- Hands-on testing of electronic equipment in labs
- Troubleshooting electronic or system-level issues
- Signal processing, control theory, statistics, information theory, and detection methods
- Imaging/pattern recognition
- Data filtering (Kalman, batch, optimal estimation)
- Advanced statistics
- DOORS or CAMEO

The salary range for this role is 75,800 USD - 144,200 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate's work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
