Full Job Description
We are seeking a skilled Quality Engineer to join our team in Littleton, CO, supporting the Integration, Test, and Delivery (ITD) Team at our Waterton facility. As a member of the Integration, Test, and Delivery Quality team, you will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure we are delivering truly world class products.
In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring that all test and integration activities are conducted in accordance with appropriate quality procedures and standards. You will review and approve test procedures, evaluate anomalous conditions, develop or modify processes, and interpret and apply technical requirements to ensure that our spacecraft and components meet the highest standards of quality and reliability. You will also be responsible for driving continuous improvement projects, identifying areas for improvement, and implementing changes to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of our test processes.
As a Quality Engineer you will have the opportunity to work on a variety of testing and integration activities supporting the ATLO high bay. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure that all test and integration activities are properly planned, executed, and documented. Your expertise in quality engineering principles, practices, and standards will be vital in ensuring that our spacecraft components meet the highest standards of quality and reliability. You will also be responsible for interacting with the customer as needed, resolving anomalies, and becoming an expert on requirements and specifications.
Typical role responsibilities include:
• Reviewing test procedures, drawings, and specifications to ensure compliance and producibility.
• Interpreting engineering drawings and specifications to execute test activities and determine if non-conformances exist
• Develop subject matter expertise to be a source of knowledge on processes, procedures, and "what right looks like"
• Engage with cross-functional teams to drive continuous improvement across the test cycle to eliminate quality control issues
• Coordinate disposition, root cause, and corrective action on nonconforming hardware using electronic documentation systems and a variety of investigative skills.
• This position occasionally requires working off shifts, non-standard work weeks and overtime as needed to complete test campaigns on schedule.
Basic Qualifications
• US Citizen with active Top Secret Clearance with the ability to obtain a TS/SCI w/Poly
• Bachelor's degree in a related discipline or equivalent experience/combined education
• Knowledge of manufacturing/quality processes and documentation
• Root Cause Analysis experience
• Knowledge of manufacturing, quality, and test processes
• Experience with anomaly processing in a test and manufacturing environment
• Ability to read and comprehend detailed work instructions, as well as interpret drawings, schematics, sketches, specifications, and standards
Desired skills
• TS/SCI w/Poly
• Quality Planning Certification or equivalent
• Experience working in a SCIF
• PR Certification
• Quality Engineer (CQE) certification
• Previous industry-related certifications, including:
• Hardware Torquing
• Connector Mate/Demate
• Cable Harness product quality
• Environmental test support
Work Schedule Information
Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
National Pay Statement
Pay Rate: The annual base salary range for this position in California, Massachusetts, and New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas), Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, New Jersey, Vermont, Washington or Washington DC is $67,000 - $117,990. For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidate's final work location. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer.

(Washington state applicants only) Non-represented full-time employees: accrue at least 10 hours per month of Paid Time Off (PTO) to be used for incidental absences and other reasons; receive at least 90 hours for holidays. Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays. PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year.
This position is incentive plan eligible.
Premium Pay Statement
Pay Rate: The annual base salary range for this position in most major metropolitan areas in California, Massachusetts, and New York is $77,000 - $133,400. For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidate's final work location. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only.
