Position Description: We are seeking an experienced QA Lead with strong hands-on automation testing expertise to support a fast-paced Agile environment. The successful candidate will lead and mentor Quality Engineers while independently owning and driving QA deliverables.
This role is hybrid and requires you to be at our downtown Toronto office a minimum of 2 days per week, subject to change at any time.
Your future duties and responsibilities: - Lead the QA team and mentor Quality Engineers.
- Independently own and drive QA deliverables within Agile teams.
- Develop test strategies and test plans.
- Manage test data and overall testing activities.
- Lead defect management and defect triage activities.
- Conduct risk assessments and provide quality reporting.
- Provide QA estimates for projects and sprint deliverables.
- Support mobile testing across Android and iOS, including manual and automated testing.
- Perform API testing using Rest Assured.
- Collaborate with stakeholders and Agile team members to support quality and continuous improvement.
Required qualifications to be successful in this role: - 8+ years of overall experience, including at least 2-3 years of experience leading QA teams and mentoring Quality Engineers.
- 4-5 years of hands-on experience with Java and Selenium automation testing.
- Minimum 3 years of banking domain experience.
- Strong experience with test management and defect tracking tools, including Jira and Micro Focus ALM / Quality Center.
- Experience with mobile testing, including manual and automation testing for Android and iOS.
- Strong API testing experience using Rest Assured.
- Experience with accessibility testing and accessibility compliance standards.
- Strong knowledge of test automation frameworks.
- Strong understanding and practical experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies and processes.
- Strong leadership, communication, stakeholder management, analytical, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work effectively in fast-paced Agile environments.

- Experience working with TSYS systems/platforms.
- Exposure to AI-driven test automation tools and practices.
- Knowledge of modern automation frameworks and intelligent testing solutions.
CGI is providing a reasonable estimate of the pay range for this role. The determination of this range includes factors such as skill set level, geographic market, experience and training, and licenses and certifications. Compensation decisions depend on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range is $80,000-$130,000. This role is an existing vacancy.
