Position Description:

CGI is seeking a hands on Data & AI Engineer with strong experience in modern cloud data platforms, particularly Databricks and Snowflake, as well as Python and SQL development.
The ideal candidate will be comfortable working across data engineering, software development, analytics, and emerging AI/Generative AI solutions. This individual should be capable of working directly with clients to understand business and technical requirements, design practical solutions, and develop production ready data and AI applications.
The role requires someone who is equally comfortable building data pipelines and transformations as they are developing Python services, APIs, and AI enabled applications.
This position is located in our Houston, Texas office however a hybrid working model is acceptable. The requirement is an average of 3 days onsite at either client location and/or the CGI Houston, Texas office.

How You'll Make an Impact:

. Design, develop, and maintain scalable data pipelines and data integration solutions using Databricks, Snowflake, Azure, and related cloud technologies.
. Develop data ingestion, transformation, and processing workflows using Python, SQL, PySpark, and Spark.
. Build and optimize solutions within Databricks, including notebooks, workflows/jobs, Delta Lake, Unity Catalog, and medallion style data architectures.
. Develop Snowflake solutions including tables, views, stored procedures, data pipelines, security models, and performance optimization.
. Integrate data from structured and unstructured sources into modern cloud data platforms.
. Support data migration and modernization initiatives involving legacy databases, SQL Server, cloud storage, and modern lakehouse/data warehouse platforms.
. Develop Python based applications, reusable services, libraries, and data processing components.
. Build and integrate REST APIs using frameworks such as FastAPI.
. Develop AI and Generative AI solutions leveraging technologies such as Azure AI Foundry, Azure OpenAI, Databricks AI capabilities, Snowflake Cortex, or similar platforms.
. Support Retrieval Augmented Generation (RAG), document intelligence, natural language to data, and other enterprise AI use cases.
. Work with business and technical stakeholders to understand problems, define requirements, and translate them into technical solutions.
. Perform data analysis, validation, reconciliation, and data quality assessments.
. Create clear technical documentation covering architecture, development standards, deployment, and operational support.
. Participate in solution demonstrations, technical discussions, client workshops, and proof of concept development.
. Work within DevOps and CI/CD processes using tools such as Azure DevOps and Git

The determination of this range includes various factors not limited to skill set, level, experience, relevant training, and licensure and certifications. To support the ability to reward for merit based performance, CGI typically does not hire individuals at or near the top of the range for their role. Compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range for this role in the U.S. is $100,800.00 $245,500.00.
