QA Lead
Lead II - Software Testing
UST is searching for an experienced QA Lead with strong healthcare domain expertise and deep experience in data validation, backend testing, and clinical data integrations to support enterprise healthcare platforms and data modernization initiatives.
The opportunity:
• Lead end-to-end QA activities for healthcare data platforms, clinical integrations, and backend systems.
• Perform complex data-heavy validations across multiple source and target systems including Azure-based data platforms and enterprise healthcare applications.
• Validate ETL/ELT pipelines, data transformations, data mappings, reconciliation logic, and downstream reporting datasets.
• Design and execute backend testing strategies for APIs, database integrations, batch interfaces, and clinical data exchanges.
• Perform testing and validation of healthcare interoperability data including ADT feeds, CCDA documents, HL7/FHIR transactions, and clinical event data.
• Independently analyze data anomalies, identify root causes, and provide actionable insights to development and business teams.
• Collaborate with Data Engineering, Business Intelligence, Clinical Operations, and Application teams to ensure high-quality releases.

What you need:
• 8+ years of experience in Quality Assurance and Testing with strong healthcare domain exposure.
• Strong hands-on experience in backend testing and data validation for enterprise healthcare systems.
• Experience validating large and complex healthcare datasets across multiple systems.
• Hands-on experience with:
• SSIS
• Azure Data Factory (ADF)
• Python scripting
• SQL and advanced database querying
• Snowflake and Azure-based data platforms
• Strong understanding of:
• Clinical data workflows
• ADT (Admit/Discharge/Transfer) transactions
• CCDA (Consolidated Clinical Document Architecture)
• HL7/FHIR interoperability concepts
• Healthcare interoperability and integration patterns
• Experience with healthcare integration standards and clinical data exchange validations.
• Experience working with healthcare payer or provider systems.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and inference skills with the ability to work independently.
• Experience performing source-to-target validation, reconciliation testing, and data integrity checks.
• Experience validating ETL/ELT pipelines, reporting datasets, APIs, batch integrations, and enterprise data workflows.
• Strong understanding of SDLC, STLC, Agile methodologies, and defect management processes.
• Experience with test management, automation, and defect tracking tools including JIRA, Azure DevOps, Selenium, Postman, and QE360.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder coordination skills.
• Ability to independently lead QA discussions, drive testing strategy, and coordinate with business, data engineering, and clinical teams.
Compensation can differ depending on factors including but not limited to the specific office location, role, skill set, education, and level of experience. UST provides a reasonable range of compensation for roles that may be hired in various U.S. markets as set forth below.
Role Location: Remote-US
Compensation Range: $78,000-$117,000
