York International Corporation seeks QA Lead at its facility located at 100 JCI Way, York, PA 17406.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Develop quality metrics, test standards, and test strategies. Instruct others on the quality metrics and test strategies for various projects. Provide timely answers to team members. Mentor team members to conduct test plan reviews, provide feedback, and ensure best practices are followed. Ensure the development and execution of software tests and drive integration testing. Create and maintain test documentation, including specifications, results, and performance documentation. Investigate and resolve critical test defects and issues in a timely manner. Stay current with industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies to ensure the software tests remain up-to-date and competitive. Work closely with cross-functional teams, including project managers, testers, and other developers to deliver projects on time and within budget. Lead continuous improvement initiatives to enhance testing processes, tools, and methodologies across the organization. Collaborate with development teams to define acceptance criteria and ensure testability requirements are incorporated early in the SDLC. Oversee the implementation and maintenance of automated testing frameworks to improve coverage and efficiency. Analyze test results and quality metrics to identify risks, trends, and areas for improvement, and communicate findings to stakeholders. Support release readiness decisions by providing clear quality assessments and risk evaluations. Ensure compliance with organizational standards, regulatory requirements, and audit expectations related to software quality and testing practices. Telecommuting permitted.

REQUIREMENTS:

This position requires a Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field plus Five (5) years of experience as a QA Analyst, Senior QA Analyst, or occupation involving HVACR (Heating, Ventilation, Air Conditioning, Refrigeration) industry. Additionally, the applicant must have employment experience with: (1) Manual and automated testing using Selenium WebDriver, Microsoft Test, and Microsoft Test Manager (MTM); (2) HVAC air handling unit configuration and application; (3) Software Testing Life Cycle (STLC), methodologies, processes, and industry-standard testing tools; (4) Agile principles, including Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe), with experience working in Agile teams; (5) Utilizing Apache JMeter and Postman for functional and load testing of RESTful APIs; and (6) Developing comprehensive test plans in Microsoft Azure DevOps and drive their execution across teams.
