Full Job Description
Job Summary:
The QA Engineer position requires writing, executing, and maintaining automated tests for our comprehensive product suites. This position is responsible for verifying fixes, validating and documenting completion of testing and development, designing, implementing and debugging test cases and scripts using a combination of technical proficiencies. Initially, this position is required to perform some manual testing to learn the application he/she will support.

This position is remote in North America, and will report to the Sr Development Manager.

Job Description:

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for design, development, execution, and maintenance of automated test scripts for an enterprise application with web front end, Oracle and SQL databases.
  • Generate detailed defect reports, if any issues are identified from testing
  • As needed, write and execute manual regression and functional test cases of our comprehensive enterprise product features, including web pages, reports, and integrations
  • Publish regular reports that measure the efficiencies and ROI of implemented automation
  • Collaborate with other QA automation and manual engineers to plan and run automated and/or manual tests.
  • Participate in developing and maintaining automation team standards, and ensure designs across team adhere to departmental and company standards
  • Work to streamline operations for efficiency, cost saving, and reliability of the products and processes within our development and quality assurance departments
  • Ensure compliance with processes and standards in all projects


Requirements:

The ideal candidate will possess an Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university, with a major in Computer science, or other related area of expertise.

Position requirements:
  • 3 + yrs as a QA Engineer or Analyst with experience in Quality Assurance processes & methodologies, writing and executing testing strategies.
  • Working experience with Artificial Intelligence Tools as well as AI-Driven Software Development Process
  • Proficiency with automation tools, such as Selenium web driver, postman etc.
  • Hands-on experience setting up automation jobs using Azure Pipeline
  • Client-server / n-tier app experience (Oracle, MSSQL, MYSQL, and/or SQL Lite)
  • Proficiency in a modern front-end language such as JavaScript, or a modern systems language such as C# (preferred).
  • Experience utilizing APIs (SOAP, REST, GraphQL, etc.)
  • Experience with source control ( Git, Github.)
  • Experience in Azure Cloud
  • Effective listening, communication (verbal and written) and presentation skills
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Successful time management and ability to adapt quickly to changing priorities
  • Ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines, both as an individual and as part of a team
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Passion for technology


Nice to have:
  • Experience in performance testing using JMeter
