Torch Technologies is seeking a Test Engineer to support the development, integration, verification, and validation of aviation diagnostics, prognostics, and health monitoring systems for U.S. Army aviation platforms. The selected candidate will work with software developers, analysts, and subject matter experts to ensure mission-critical systems meet performance, quality, and customer requirements.
As a Test Engineer your duties will include the following, but are not limited to:- Develop and execute system, integration, regression, and acceptance test procedures.
- Create test plans, test cases, and test reports.
- Perform software and hardware integration testing.
- Identify, document, and track defects through resolution.
- Support verification and validation activities throughout the software lifecycle.
- Develop and maintain automated test scripts and test environments.
- Analyze test results and perform root-cause investigations.
- Support field testing, demonstrations, and customer events.
- Participate in technical reviews and Agile development activities.
- Ensure traceability between requirements, tests, and defects.
Required Qualifications- U.S. Citizenship
- BS degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or related field.
- 5+ years of test and evaluation experience.
- Active Secret security clearance.
- Experience developing and executing software test procedures.
- Knowledge of verification and validation methodologies.
- Experience with defect tracking and configuration management tools.
- Familiarity with Agile development processes.
- Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.
- Experience supporting aviation, aerospace, or DoW programs.
- Ability to work on customer site at Redstone Arsenal.
Desired Qualifications- Experience with automated testing frameworks and scripting languages.
- Knowledge of DevSecOps and CI/CD pipelines.
- Experience with Azure DevOps, Jira, or similar tools.
- Familiarity with SQL Server and API testing.
- Experience with hardware-in-the-loop (HIL), SIL, or system integration testing.
- Knowledge of CMMI, ISO 9001, and software quality processes.
- Experience with cybersecurity testing and secure software practices.
- Familiarity with condition-based maintenance, HUMS, IVHMS, or predictive maintenance systems.
- Experience supporting Army aviation platforms.
- ISTQB, Security+, or other relevant technical certifications.
