Vancouver, BCPosition SummaryWe are seeking a motivated automation engineer for our Data Path organization. This is an impactful technical role within a highly skilled data-oriented team. We have a very exciting and challenging journey ahead of us, and yours is a key role in that journey.
Essential Functions In this role, you will contribute to designing, building and expanding existing test coverage for a robust, flexible and automated solution. You will learn the foundations of our product, the ETL process involved and our data model spanning multiple vendors and cloud environments. You will design test case scenarios, execute automated tests, and analyze test results to ensure the development team is delivering a high-quality product.
Minimum Requirements- Test-driven development experience using Python, with hands-on experience in pytest.
- Experience building or working with automation frameworks.
- Experience writing Bash scripts to automate installation and configuration tasks.
- Experience working with CI/CD tools like Jenkins, GitLab.
- Experience working with Agile development methodologies.
- Experience with Cloud-Based Systems: AWS, Azure, Google Cloud.
- Familiarity working with various databases (SQL, No-SQL, Graph) and database queries is an asset.
Preferred Qualifications- Deep curiosity, problem solving skills and being well organized go a long way.
- You are detail oriented and meticulous by nature.
- Eager to learn from and collaborate with team members.
- Experience with designing and deploying Infrastructure as Code using Terraform, Ansible.
- Experience developing in Go for custom Terraform providers is an asset.
- You have excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Previous Quality Assurance experience is an asset.
