Position Description: The Proxy Integration Lead provides hands on technical leadership for the proxy/facade capability that enables coexistence between legacy and target platforms during migration.
This role is responsible for interface routing, environment configuration, migration validation support, and coordination with architecture, engineering, and DevOps teams to ensure controlled transition and cutover.
This role is part of an AI first software engineering organization where Artificial Intelligence is integrated throughout the software development lifecycle. Candidates must demonstrate practical experience leveraging AI to improve productivity, quality, and delivery outcomes using modern AI assisted development practices.
Your future duties and responsibilities: .Design, build, configure, and maintain the enterprise proxy or facade capability that supports coexistence between legacy and target platforms.
.Lead the technical approach for routing, interface mediation, environment configuration, and end to end connectivity during migration.
.Work with solution architects, integration engineers, and DevOps teams to ensure the proxy layer supports validation and cutover objectives.
.Troubleshoot complex integration and routing issues across environments, interfaces, and operational conditions.
.Develop reusable configuration standards, deployment procedures, and support runbooks for the proxy capability.
.Support migration waves, parallel run validation, and controlled switching between legacy and new endpoints.
.Promote AI assisted engineering practices and BMAD to accelerate delivery and maintain quality.
.Document architecture decisions, operational procedures, and interface dependencies for the migration workstream.
Required qualifications to be successful in this role: .8+ years of experience in enterprise integration, middleware, or systems engineering roles.
.Hands on experience designing and operating proxy, facade, or routing solutions for complex enterprise systems.
.Experience with environment configuration, interface management, and migration support activities.
.Strong knowledge of APIs, messaging, distributed systems, and legacy interoperability patterns.
.Experience troubleshooting connectivity, routing, and integration issues across multiple environments.
.Experience with cloud native platforms, with Microsoft Azure preferred.
.Demonstrated experience working within AI enabled Software Development Lifecycle (AI SDLC) environments.
.Experience using the Business Model Assisted Development (BMAD) framework or a comparable AI native software delivery methodology.
.Experience with DevSecOps, CI/CD, and deployment automation.
.Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications
.Telecommunications industry experience.
.Experience supporting migration or transition programs with coexistence requirements.
.Experience with container platforms, Kubernetes, and cloud networking.
.Experience with API gateways or integration platforms.
.Experience in highly available, mission critical environments.
.Experience leveraging AI assisted engineering tools to improve integration quality and delivery efficiency.
CGI is providing a reasonable estimate of the pay range for this role. The determination of this range includes factors such as skill set level, geographic market, experience and training, and licenses and certifications. Compensation decisions depend on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range is $95,000-$145,000. This role is an existing vacancy.
