Under the direction of a Proposal Manager or Senior Proposal Manager, the Proposals Supervisor, Telecom, leads the day-to-day execution of proposal activities while providing direct people leadership to proposal coordinators and support staff. This role is responsible for ensuring proposal work is delivered consistently, compliantly, and in alignment with established processes, quality standards, and timelines.
The Proposal Supervisor, Telecom, balances hands-on proposal leadership with people management, supporting team performance, development, and workload planning. While this role may directly oversee or support complex pursuits, its primary focus is enabling the proposal team to perform effectively through coaching, prioritization, and operational oversight.
This position is well suited to an experienced proposal professional who is ready to transition into a formal leadership role while remaining close to proposal execution.
What You'll Do Here: - Lead and oversee the day-to-day execution of proposal and RFx responses across assigned teams or pursuits.
- Provide direct people leadership to proposal coordinators, specialists, and support roles, including onboarding, coaching, performance feedback, and skill development.
- Assign proposal resources to pursuits, balancing workloads, priorities, and deadlines to support consistent delivery.
- Support or lead proposal kickoffs, coordination touchpoints, and review cycles to ensure clarity of roles, responsibilities, and expectations.
- Review RFx requirements and execution plans to ensure compliance, risk awareness, and alignment with established proposal processes.
- Conduct or oversee proposal quality and compliance reviews, ensuring submissions meet client requirements and internal standards.
- Support the development of proposal schedules and execution plans, monitoring progress and addressing risks or bottlenecks.
- Act as an escalation point for proposal execution issues, resource conflicts, or delivery risks, working with managers to resolve them.
- Support the continuous improvement of proposal tools, templates, processes, and workflows through feedback and lessons learned.
- Collaborate closely with Proposal Managers, Business Development, Estimating, Operations, and Content teams to ensure alignment and smooth execution.
- Contribute to team engagement and retention by fostering a collaborative, accountable, and development-focused team environment.
What You Bring to The Team: - 4-6+ years of experience in proposal coordination, proposal management, or a related role, preferably within utilities, construction, or infrastructure.
- Demonstrated experience leading or mentoring proposal teams or individuals in a formal or informal capacity.
- Strong understanding of RFx processes, compliance requirements, and proposal best practices.
- Proven ability to manage multiple concurrent pursuits in fast-paced, deadline-driven environments.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with confidence providing direction, feedback, and coaching.
- High proficiency in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, SharePoint, and Adobe Acrobat; experience with bid portals is required.
- Ability to identify execution risks, manage priorities, and support teams through competing demands.
- APMP Foundation or Practitioner certification preferred; advanced certifications considered an asset.
The expected pay range for this role is $85,000 - $105,000 per year.
Individual pay is determined based on several factors, including work location, education, experience, unique skills and job conditions. Other considerations may include certifications, specialized training, and the complexity or scope of the role.
