Project Quality Engineer

Eng., Project QA

Work Schedule:
Onsite - Buffalo, NYMoog is looking for a Project Quality Engineer to plan and execute cost-effective quality processes to assure that we will meet or exceed contractual quality requirements and provide the required level of protection to Moog and its Customers. You will have a measurable impact on the performance of our business by promoting the highest standards of quality. Since the hardware that we produce is very complex, we are looking for someone who understands the important nature of it. You will report to a Project Quality Engineer and work onsite in East Aurora, NY (Buffalo area).

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering or equivalent STEM.
  • 8+ years of professional work experience in Engineering or Manufacturing, 5+ years of which must be in Quality Engineering in manufacturing.
  • This position requires access to United States export-controlled information.
  • Proficiency with statistical, spreadsheet, and database software packages
  • Ability to obtain a US security clearance.


As a Project Quality Engineer, you will:

  • Develop Engineering professionals to deliver on Moog SDG strategic priorities
  • Review program and personnel assignments to ensure mission success and equitable work distribution
  • Be a key stakeholder on program teams in meeting contractual requirements and driving crucial quality related decisions for our customers.
  • Represent Moog to support Customer & Government (DCMA) inspections, customer audits and requirements.
  • Improve production by conducting QE studies, recommending design changes, and providing quality support to manufacturing personnel.
  • Activities will include failure analysis, root cause and corrective action analysis, risk mitigation, material review, customer & governmental interface, audit support configuration control, and traceability.
  • Review and prepare End Item Data packs to provide to customer during either source inspections or shipment of hardware.
  • Develop Quality plans for receiving inspection, manufacturing operations, assembly & test processes, and final inspection.
  • Work directly with customers and suppliers to identify root cause and corrective action.
  • Improve cost for inspection and prevent cost due to failure through statistical analysis and problem solving.

Salary Range Transparency:
Buffalo, NY $110,000.00-$140,000.00 Annually
