Full Job Description
Position Overview:

As a Project Planner/Scheduler you will develop, maintain, and analyze Primavera P6 project schedules to support planning, performance tracking, and informed decision-making. This role partners with project teams to ensure schedule accuracy, assess risks, provide analytical insights, and communicate schedule performance to stakeholders.

Location:

Onsite in Lynchburg, Virginia at the Advanced Technologies Office.

Your Day to Day as a Project Planner/Scheduler:
  • Develop, update, and manage project schedules using Primavera P6 to support project planning, forecasting, and performance tracking.
  • Perform schedule analysis including critical path, resource loading, schedule health assessments, and what-if scenario modeling.
  • Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and functional teams to ensure schedule accuracy and alignment with scope, cost, and resource plans.
  • Gather schedule information, update, analyze, and prepare status reports of the project's progress.
  • Perform various analytical functions, including analyzing data sets for trends, correlations and abnormalities and provide actionable insights.
  • Prepare schedule performance reports and present schedule metrics to leadership and project stakeholders.
  • Ensure project schedules comply with internal policies, customer requirements, and industry best practices.
  • Provide Earned Value analysis and reporting inputs.
  • Maintain quality assurance and control on assigned project schedules.
  • Participate in project meetings, provide schedule insights, and proactively identify schedule risks and opportunities.


Required Qualifications:
  • A bachelor's degree in business or a technical field is required.
  • A minimum of six (6) years of experience in project scheduling/planning in a technical, engineering, or manufacturing environment is required
  • Must be proficient Primavera P6.
  • Must be an effective communicator with internal/external stakeholders and customers.
  • Must be able to demonstrate superior written, oral, and interpersonal communication skills, including technical writing skills.
  • Must have a strong understanding of schedule integration, critical path methodology, and earned value management (EVM).
  • Must have experience working in matrixed teams and with cross-functional stakeholders.
  • Must have the ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Must be proficient with Microsoft Office products, especially Excel and Word.
  • Must be a U.S. citizen.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) or Department of Defense (DOD) security clearance, whichever is required.

Pay: $76,000.00 - $119,000.00

The base salary range for this position in Virginia (US-VA) at the start of employment is expected to be between $76,000.00 and $119,000.00 per year. However, the base salary offered is based on local job market factors, and may vary further depending on factors specific to the selected job candidate, such as job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and other objective business considerations. Subject to these considerations, the total compensation package for this position may also include other elements, such as an annual cash incentive in addition to a full range of medical, retirement, and/or other benefits. Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided at such time the selected job candidate receives an offer of employment. If hired, the selected job candidate will be employed 'at-will,' unless employed at a location and in a position subject to a collective bargaining agreement. The company further reserves the right to modify base salary (as well as any other discretionary payment, compensation or benefit program) at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, company or individual department/team performance, and other market factors.
