We are currently seeking a Project Manager to join our team remotely in Canada.
We are seeking a Project Manager to lead a strategic Data Governance Assessment and Tool Selection initiative. The Project Manager will be responsible for managing the end-to-end delivery of a governance maturity assessment, facilitating stakeholder engagement, coordinating business and technical workstreams, developing roadmaps, and overseeing the evaluation and selection of enterprise data governance platforms.
This role requires a strong background in enterprise data management, governance transformation, organizational change management, and complex cross-functional program delivery
3-5 years' experience in project management
3-5 years' experience in Data governance project work
Key Responsibilities:
- 3 to 5 years' experience in Program Leadership
- Lead delivery of a Data Governance Assessment and Tool Selection engagement from initiation through final recommendations.
- Develop and manage project plans, schedules, milestones, risks, issues, dependencies, and budgets.
- Establish governance structures, steering committee cadence, project reporting, and executive communications.
- Ensure alignment between business objectives, governance requirements, and technology recommendations.
- Assessment Management
- Coordinate current-state assessment activities across business and IT stakeholders.
- Manage workshops, interviews, and discovery sessions with executives, data owners, stewards, architects, security, compliance, and analytics teams.
- Drive documentation of:
- Governance maturity
- Data ownership and stewardship
- Data quality processes
- Metadata and lineage capabilities
- Privacy and compliance requirements
- Organizational readiness
- Governance Framework Development
- Facilitate development of:
- Governance operating model
- Governance council structure
- Roles and responsibilities
- Data ownership framework
- Stewardship model
- Decision rights and escalation paths
- Governance policies and standards
- Tool Evaluation & Selection
- Lead governance platform evaluation activities including:
- Requirements gathering
- Vendor assessments
- RFI/RFP support
- Evaluation scorecard development
- Proof of Concept coordination
- Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) analysis
- Business case development
- Manage evaluation of platforms such as:
- Microsoft Purview
- Collibra
- Alation
- Informatica
- Atlan
- Manta
- IBM Knowledge Catalog
- Stakeholder & Change Management
- Build strong relationships with executive sponsors and business leaders.
- Facilitate consensus among diverse stakeholder groups.
- Drive organizational change management activities to support governance adoption.
- Coordinate communication and training activities throughout the engagement.
- Delivery Oversight
- Manage cross-functional teams including:
- Data Governance SMEs
- Data Quality Consultants
- Ensure quality of deliverables, adherence to timelines, and achievement of project objectives.
NTT DATA provides a reasonable range of compensation for Canada-based positions. The starting pay range for this remote role is $74,556-$107,910 CAD. This range reflects the minimum and maximum target compensation for the position across all Canada locations. Actual compensation will depend on a number of factors, including the candidate's actual work location, relevant experience, technical skills, and other qualifications.
This position may also be eligible for incentive compensation based on individual and/or company performance.
