Responsibilities

  • Manage all phases of nuclear decommissioning projects from planning to close-out.
  • Lead project teams for dismantling, demolition, waste management, and infrastructure removal.
  • Develop and maintain project execution plans, schedules, budgets, and resource forecasts.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, nuclear safety standards, and environmental regulations.
  • Coordinate engineering, operations, construction, procurement, and waste management teams.
  • Monitor project performance and implement corrective actions as necessary.
  • Manage project risks, opportunities, and change control processes.
  • Interface with clients, regulators, contractors, and stakeholders throughout project execution.
  • Oversee contractor performance to ensure adherence to project objectives and safety expectations.

Full Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead and support decommissioning activities associated with the Douglas Point Nuclear Facility in Ontario. Based full-time on site at Chalk River, the successful candidate will be responsible for managing the planning, execution, and delivery of complex nuclear decommissioning projects while ensuring compliance with safety, regulatory, quality, schedule, and budget requirements.

This role requires a strong background in nuclear decommissioning, stakeholder management, construction and demolition activities, and project delivery within highly regulated environments.

  • Manage all phases of nuclear decommissioning projects, from planning and engineering through execution and close-out.
  • Lead project teams responsible for dismantling, demolition, waste management, remediation, and infrastructure removal activities.
