Full Job Description
Atlas is seeking a Project Manager to support our ongoing construction materials testing (CMT) & geotechnical projects. The ideal candidate will have active certifications applicable to laboratory & field testing, or experience in CMT & geotechnical project management. Core Responsibilities • Assist with scheduling CMT field activities and coordinate with clients, Atlas technicians, the Operations Manager, and Project Managers; attend meetings with project superintendents as needed. • Support field training and serve as the primary trainer for new CMT Field Technicians on testing procedures and operations; document all training in Quality System Training Records.Insert responsibility • Assist the Operations Manager with maintaining field equipment calibration logs, sign-in/out tracking, and ensure appropriate ACI laboratory testing certifications (e.g., Strength, Aggregate) are current. • Support management and field staff with challenging field activities while developing additional skills such as fireproofing, high-strength bolting, and completing ICC certifications (Masonry, Structural Steel) and other required training. • Act as Assistant Branch Safety Officer and Assistant Radiation Safety Officer, supporting laboratory and field safety programs, coordinating with leadership, and completing ongoing daily, monthly, and annual responsibilities. • Provide support for specialized inspection processes, including geotechnical locating, drilling oversight, and assisting other offices with special projects or CMT-related needs.
