Description

We are seeking a Project Delivery Manager (PDM) to lead and grow our Energy Advisory department in our Mountain Region (Denver). This high-impact leadership role provides operational oversight, team development, and project excellence across consulting engagements in power generation, renewables, market analysis, and utility finance. The PDM will play a key role in building and mentoring a high-performing consulting team while ensuring the delivery of high-quality work and alignment with our firm's values and mission.

What You'll Do

As a Project Delivery Manager (PDM), you will provide strategic and operational leadership to a team of consultants and analysts, supporting the execution of projects within the Energy Advisory department and business lines. You will work closely with managing directors and business line leads to ensure project excellence, staff development, and alignment with company goals and values. Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

Leadership & Team Development
  • Provide strategic leadership and direction to the Energy Advisory team, including Power & Fuels, Renewables, Power Markets, and Utility Finance groups.
  • Recruit, develop, train, and retain high-performing staff capable of delivering exceptional consulting and technical work.
  • Conduct performance evaluations and regular one-on-one meetings to provide feedback, guidance, and professional development support.

  • Interpret and communicate organizational goals, policies, and business priorities to staff.

Project & Resource Management
  • Lead and oversee delivery of consulting engagements across energy advisory domains, including asset assessments, market analysis, financial modeling, and renewables strategy.
  • Provide expert-level technical and commercial guidance for projects involving power generation, market studies, and utility finance.
  • Ensure efficient staff assignment, workload management, and utilization to support profitable project delivery and meet billable targets.
  • Lead and oversee project QA/QC efforts, ensuring deliverables meet client expectations and company standards.
  • Collaborate with project managers to manage project scope, schedule, and budget performance, maintaining high-quality outcomes across multiple engagements.
  • Support the development and implementation of best practices in project delivery, quality management, and technical execution.
  • Ensure compliance with company and safety policies across all projects.

Strategic & Operational Execution
  • Collaborate with managing directors, business line leads, and proposal teams to support business development and secure new client engagements.
  • Oversee the delivery of consulting services within the department and business lines.
  • Implement and support firmwide programs and initiatives, ensuring effective communication and adoption within the team.
  • Monitor key performance metrics, drive continuous improvement, and ensure achievement of stated financial and operational targets.
  • Promote collaboration with adjacent business lines to advance cross-functional opportunities.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, computer science, finance, business, or other related field, and 5 years of related experience required.
  • Previous leadership and/or management experience is preferable.
  • Must demonstrate excellent oral and written communication skills, strong interpersonal skills, and the ability to clearly and effectively present complex information to all levels of employees, management, and clients.
  • Position requires the ability to thoughtfully and positively influence, lead, and manage change.
  • Must possess strong project management skills and a strategic perspective.
  • Must be expert in the use of computer software (i.e., Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

Compensation

$140,000.00-250,000.00 Yearly

The expected compensation range for this position is displayed in compliance with all local/state regulations. The expected compensation range for this position is based on a number of factors, including but not limited to: individual education, qualifications, prior work experience and work location. The total annual compensation package will consist of a base salary and eligibility to participate in our discretionary year-end incentive bonus program.
