This Opportunity

WSP is seeking a Project Controls Engineer to join our Project Controls team. This position can be based at our offices in either Los Angeles or San Francisco.

Your Impact

Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Providing and/or overseeing critical path method scheduling (via Primavera) to support client's Program including design and construction rail transit projects.
  • Review periodic CPM Updates, provide Primavera schedule comparison reports and detailed reviews.
  • Ability to perform data gathering, qualitative and quantitative analysis with independence
  • Coordination with project teams to assess reporting and identify potential delays and create accurate forecasts.
  • Interact with clients under general direction and attend client meetings
  • Assist in report writing, visual representations of data
  • Demonstrates commitment to keeping up-to-date in knowledge of current practices
  • Ability to learn and grow to produce high quality business support and professional deliverables on projects and proposals


Who You Are

Minimum Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering or related discipline or equivalent experience.
  • 1-3 years of experience in developing and managing project Schedules.
  • Experienced with critical path method analysis/technique with Primavera.
  • Provide input and comments to department of project controls including review, validate and analyze contractors' schedule for compliance including baseline and monthly updates. Elements including, completeness, logic, durations, activity, flow, milestone dates, concurrency, resource allotment and delays will be reviewed.
  • Verify the schedule conforms contract requirements and industry best practices. Provide written review of the schedule identifying significant omissions, improbable or unreasonable durations, errors in logic and any other schedule concerns.
  • Experience working with cross-functional teams.
  • Effective reporting and communication skills.
  • Experience in preparing project reports and documentation.
  • Team player and Strong communication skills

Expected Salary: $81,500- 115,100
