Position Overview:As our Program Manager, Subcontracts you will be responsible for managing cost, schedule, and performance of major subcontractors providing critical components for the power plant.
Location: On-site in Lynchburg, VA at the Advanced Technologies Office
Your Day to Day as a Program Manager, Subcontracts: - Act as the primary contact for proposal and contract activities with subcontractors, internal and external customers.
- Assist in the development of proposals and coordination of activities associated with multiple projects simultaneously within a matrix organization.
- Execute contracts, internal work authorizations, and subcontracts to advance the organization's needs.
- Develop and maintain project risk registers and action item tracking logs.
- Work closely with assigned BWXT groups to establish project controls, schedules, and budgets.
- Collaborate with project and technical leads to ensure projects remain on schedule and on budget.
- Develop and manage project forecasts and forecast updates for bookings, revenue, and gross margin.
- Track budgets against business unit forecasts and assigned projects against approved budgets.
Required Qualifications:- A minimum of a bachelor's degree in a technical field is required.
- A minimum of ten (10) years professional experience is required.
- A minimum of five (5) years of project management experience is required.
- Must be able to practice clear, concise, and result oriented communication to convey and coordinate technical exchanges internally and externally.
- Must possess demonstrable ability to analyze, condense, and write technical and commercial language presentations for customers and diverse audiences.
- Must possess experience in developing alternative technical and commercial strategies to solve complex project problems.
- Must possess demonstrable ability to adapt, manage, and succeed as changes occur.
- Must have prior experience in project management leadership on product developments implementing new technologies.
- Must be a U.S. citizen.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) or Department of Defense (DOD) security clearance, whichever is required.
Preferred Qualifications:- Demonstrated experience in creating project schedules, resource loading, managing project budgets, developing project cost/revenue forecasts, and creating and maintaining project baselines.
- Prior experience in the development and presentation of project management training focused on topics such as principles, tools, best practices, new trends, etc.
- Prior supervisory and mentor experience is preferred.
- Master of Science in a technical field or business administration is preferred.
- Prior Nuclear experience is preferred.

Pay: $112,000.00 - $177,000.00
The base salary range for this position in Virginia (US-VA) at the start of employment is expected to be between $112,000.00 and $177,000.00 per year. However, the base salary offered is based on local job market factors, and may vary further depending on factors specific to the selected job candidate, such as job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and other objective business considerations. Subject to these considerations, the total compensation package for this position may also include other elements, such as an annual cash incentive in addition to a full range of medical, retirement, and/or other benefits. Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided at such time the selected job candidate receives an offer of employment. If hired, the selected job candidate will be employed 'at-will,' unless employed at a location and in a position subject to a collective bargaining agreement.
