Full Job Description
The candidate will perform a variety of acquisition and management support roles for Army Science and Technology (S&T) projects supporting the Space and Missile Defense Command (SMDC) Technical Center. This position will play a key role in multi-functional coordination among engineering, business, test, and contracts to support effective project management for transitioning S&T projects. This dynamic position requires a strategic thinker with exceptional leadership, management, organizational skills, critical analysis abilities, and a proven track record of credibility and support.

Responsibilities
  • Lead and coordinate project activities, ensuring alignment with overall project objectives and goals.
  • Provide comprehensive program coordination supporting project priorities.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineering, business, test, and operations.
  • Assist in navigating acquisition regulations and statutes.
  • Support the project lead in understanding, tailoring, and meeting the intent of innovative DoD acquisition processes, policies, and regulations.
  • Support exercises, demonstrations, and tests.


Required Experience
  • Active Top-Secret clearance with SCI eligibility.
  • Bachelor's degree with 10 years' experience or a master's degree with over 7 years' experience.
  • A total of 20 years of relevant experience may be substituted for the degree requirement.
  • Proven experience in program management, specifically in the defense industry.
  • Familiarity with DoD acquisition processes, policies, and regulations.
  • Familiarity with S&T processes and policies.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.


Desired Qualifications
  • DoD Acquisition Workforce Certification Level III in Program Management.
  • Previous experience with Other Transactional Authority (OTA) Contracts.
