Full Job Description
Position: Professional Services III - AMZ13521.11

Location: Seattle, WA

Multiple Positions Available:

1. Develop, deliver and implement AI, IOT, and data analytics

projects that help customers leverage their data to develop

business insights.

2. Focus on customer solutions such as machine learning, IoT,

batch/real-time data processing, data and business intelligence.

3. Collaborate with AWS field sales, pre-sales, training and support

teams to help partners and customers learn and use AWS

services such as Athena, Glue, Lambda, S3, DynamoDB,

NoSQL, Relational Database Service (RDS), Amazon EMR and

Amazon Redshift.

4. Deliver on-site technical engagements with partners and

customers. This includes participating in pre-sales on-site visits,

understanding customer requirements, creating packaged Data

& Analytics service offerings.

5. Engage in short on-site projects proving the use of AWS services

to support new distributed computing solutions that often span

private cloud and public cloud services. Engagements include

migration of existing applications and development of new

applications using AWS cloud services.

6. Work with AWS engineering and support teams to convey

partner and customer needs and feedback as input to technology

roadmaps.

7. Share real world implementations and recommend new

capabilities that would simplify adoption and drive greater value

from use of AWS cloud services.

8. Engaging with the customer's business and technology

stakeholders to create a compelling vision of a data-driven

enterprise in their environment.

9. 100% telecommuting permitted, work may be performed from

anywhere in the U.S.

(40 hours / week, 8:00am-5:00pm, Salary Range $153600 - $207800)

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

Master's degree or foreign equivalent, in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, Mathematics or a related field, followed by 3 years of experience in IT platform implementation or a related occupation. Alternatively, employer will accept a Bachelor's degree, or foreign equivalent, in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, Mathematics, or a related field, followed by 5 progressively responsible years of experience in IT platform implementation or a related occupation.

Experience must include:

1. 3 years of experience in Data Lake/Hadoop platform implementation.

2. 3 years of hands-on experience in implementation and performance tuning Hadoop/Spark implementations.

3. 3 years of experience with one or more of the following tools: Sqoop, Flume, Kafka, Oozie, Hue, Zookeeper, HCatalog, Solr, or Avro.

4. 3 years of experience with one or more SQL-on-Hadoop technology: Hive, Impala, Spark SQL, or Presto.

5. 3 years of experience developing software code in programming languages including Java or Python.

The pay range for this position in Seattle, WA is $153600 - $207800 (yr); however, base pay offered may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. A sign-on bonus and restricted stock units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the position offered.
