Job Description Summary:

The Dallas Syrup Plant Production Director leads and manages manufacturing of products that meet quality standards and customer demand in a safe environment. The successful candidate will serve on the Plant's leadership team and is responsible for building and supporting the company's culture of continuous process improvement and efficiency. Additionally, the Production Director will deliver effective leadership and management of team leaders/supervisors, and hourly associates.

Position-Related Responsibilities and Key Job Responsibilities
  • Provide direct reports with leadership, direction, and coaching to achieve work objectives and improve performance and skills.
  • Evaluate frontline staffing needs to ensure adequate headcount for Production and Warehouse operations.
  • Analyze performance data to effectively identify business plan variances using established systems and ad-hoc problem solving.
  • Investigate and identify root causes of any facility safety or security incident or environmental regulation non-compliance to carefully prevent reoccurrence of similar incidents at same or other facilities.
  • Inspect facility (e.g., production, warehouse, service/installation) to ensure adherence to safety and operating policies and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) using Company policies and procedures.
  • Maintain product, packaging and material inventory/availability using demand forecasts, historical orders and software tools designed to support the operations plans and customer demand of the plant.
  • Implement, evaluate and maintain effective application of The Coca-Cola Quality System to effectively ensure product quality as defined by Company requirements.
  • Identify and recommend improvements to supply chain metrics and performance standards using research, supplier relationships, industry knowledge and best practices in order to secure benefits for the KO system, suppliers and/or the customer (e.g., cost savings, new technologies and innovations, operating efficiencies).
  • Develop analytical tools and reports (e.g., staffing models, rate models, procurement models, inventory models, stewardship models) to successfully manage supply chain performance.
  • Review plant production equipment environment (e.g., technology, systems, quality, cost, efficiencies, yield) to recommend process improvements. Monitor feedback mechanisms for business issues (e.g., metrics are met, problems are addressed, modifications and/or improvements are captured and integrated) to ensure product quality and consistency.


Education and Additional Qualifications
  • Undergraduate Degree or equivalent work experience.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Engineering or Technical Degree is preferred
  • Minimum of 5 years of progressive leadership experience in a Food & Beverage or CPG manufacturing environment is a plus.
  • Leadership experience within complex manufacturing facilities with diverse teams is strongly desired.


Functional & Technical Competencies
  • Production Management: Knowledge of the principles of production management to effectively communicate and manage change in a production environment.
  • Business Planning: Knowledge of specific supply chain capabilities, strategies and interdependencies to perform short and long-term business planning. Ability to incorporate strengths, weaknesses, external opportunities and threats into business plan strategies and execution tasks.
  • Process Improvement: Ability to collaborate cross-functionally and coordinate efforts around process improvement. Ability to analyze business processes and develop systems-based solutions that will improve current state.
  • Occupational Safety Regulations: Knowledge of the Company, local, national and international regulatory requirements (e.g., safety, emergency management) that apply to Company locations or processes and the actions required to keep the Company in compliance with these regulations.
  • Good Manufacturing Practices: Knowledge of the basic elements of Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) in a manufacturing environment and the ability to apply them.
  • Monitoring, Measurement, and Metrics: Knowledge of key business drivers or measures used to gauge the effectiveness and performance of an internal group or supplier. Ability to determine appropriate measures or metrics. Ability to measure against those standards. Ability to communicate performance standards and metrics.
  • ISO Standards Compliance: Knowledge of ISO standards ISO 9001 for Quality Management, ISO 14001 for Environmental Management, and ISO 45001 for Occupational Health and Safety), ISO 22000 for Food Safety and the ability to apply these standards within manufacturing operations. Ability to ensure compliance through audits, documentation, and continuous improvement initiatives aligned with ISO requirements.
