Job Details
We are looking for collaborative, technical, and user-centric Product Managers and Senior Product Managers to join the MuleSoft Developer Experience & Platform team. In this role, you will help build the tools, APIs, runtimes, and interfaces that developers and platform engineers use every day to design, secure, and scale enterprise-grade integrations.
This is a hands-on product role. You won't just write PRDs and hand them off. You will prototype, build proofs of concept, lead deep-dive demonstrations across the entire platform portfolio, and dig into exploratory initiatives yourself. If you're energized by both shaping long-term strategy and getting into the weeds with the technology, this role is for you.
Key Responsibilities
Product Ownership: Own the roadmap and end-to-end lifecycle for key capabilities across MuleSoft’s developer tools, API management portfolio, or core platform infrastructure.
Developer Empathy: Engage directly with developers, architects, and platform engineering teams to understand their workflows, friction points, and usability needs.
Hands-on Prototyping: Run exploratory spikes, test your own products, build proofs of concept (POCs), and write clear, concise product specifications.
AI-Assisted Delivery: Leverage AI-assisted development tools (e.g., Claude Code, Copilot) to rapidly prototype, build demo assets, and explore technical concepts quickly—using AI tooling as a force multiplier.
Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with Engineering, UX Design, Product Marketing, Developer Relations, and Support to ensure cohesive go-to-market execution and high adoption.
Experience & Requirements
To be considered for Senior Product Manager:
5+ years of product management experience, specifically focusing on developer-facing infrastructure, APIs, SaaS platforms, or cloud runtimes.
Demonstrated ability to independently manage a multi-quarter product roadmap, prioritize conflicting enterprise customer needs, and lead cross-functional initiatives.
To be considered for Product Manager:
3+ years of product management experience, or an equivalent mix of PM and deep technical hands-on roles (e.g., Software Engineer, Integration Architect, or Solution Architect).
A track record of shipping software features, owning a backlog, and collaborating closely with engineering teams in an agile environment.
Core Technical Capabilities (All Levels)
Strong foundational understanding of APIs, API Management lifecycles, and modern integration patterns (REST, GraphQL, gRPC, event-driven architectures).
Familiarity with cloud computing concepts, SaaS architecture, control plane/data plane separation, or containerization (Kubernetes, Docker).
A genuine builder's instinct—comfortable prototyping, running POCs, and getting hands-on with the technology rather than staying purely strategic.
Superb communication and storytelling skills—the ability to articulate "the why" behind a product decision to engineers, UX designers, and business stakeholders alike.
Proficiency with (or an active curiosity for) AI-assisted development and productivity tools to accelerate prototyping and generate technical assets.
A related technical degree required.
Preferred Qualifications
Hands-on experience with MuleSoft Anypoint Platform or comparable integration and API management platforms (e.g., Apigee, Kong, Boomi, AWS Gateway).
Experience with infrastructure-as-code (Terraform), continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines, or software development lifecycles (SDLC).
A background in designing developer-facing user interfaces, command-line interfaces (CLIs), or developer portals.
In office expectations are 36 days/a quarter to support customers and/or collaborate with their teams.
