That’s Nice, But What’s the Job?

In short, as a Product Manager youownend-to-end product delivery, from problem ideation and definition throughlaunchand post-deliveryoutcomes.Youremainactively engaged through solution design, development,andtestingto ensure outcomes match intent.You proactively keepstakeholdersinformed,removeroadblocks, and drivetimelydecisions to keep initiatives on track.

Inlong, our Product Managersare responsible for:

  • Owning the product vision andexecutingthe product roadmap, articulating the features that feed the roadmap

  • Influencing roadmap and investment decisions beyond an individual feature or release

  • Assessing business needs and value,determiningpotential solution options, and making strategic tradeoff decisions tochoose thesolution with the best ROI

  • Establishing schedules, guidelines, and procedures anddeterminingthe most effective way to deliver a complete solution to an identified problem

  • Owning software vendor assessment and relationships to support business goals.

  • Working with business owners and development teams to analyze, prioritize, and organize business requirements to ensure efforts focus on the most critical needs

  • Defining business requirements by partnering with internal and external stakeholders

  • Facilitating and leading discussions with technology teams and business users to define business requirements and acceptance criteria

  • Managing projects from ideation to delivery, ensuring the intent and execution are aligned

  • Working cross-functionally with strategy analytics, process, operations, legal,and complianceto ensure products are delivered successfully

  • Communicating the vision and goals for a project, andsupportingthe development team through the achievement of those goals

  • Conducting meetings with all business levels to communicate new initiatives, features and rollout of new products and services

  • Ensuring success criteria are measured and results are socialized to key stakeholders

The Specifics.

  • 4+ years of Product Management or other relevant experience

  • 6+ years of experience in any combination of business operations, Product Management, or Business Analysis roles

  • Bachelorsdegree in businessor MBApreferred; or equivalent experience

  • Demonstrated experience in developing andmaintainingproduct roadmaps

  • Passion for continuous improvement

  • Demonstrated experience leading initiatives with significant ambiguity, risk, or organizational impact

  • Evidence of strong stakeholder trust, influence, and delivery accountability

  • Experience guiding others through complex problem-solving and delivery work

  • Nice to Have -Experience leading, mentoring, or managing others in Product, Business Analysis, or UX design
