Job Title: NFC / Key Fob Systems Engineer Location: Dearborn, MI (Hybrid) Job Type: W2 Contract Expected Hours per Week: 40 Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8-5 Pay Range: $44-46 per hour
Position Description: This role is responsible for development of NFC and Key Fob hardware, software, and systems within automotive programs. The engineer will support design, validation, and launch of RF-based access systems while ensuring compliance with regulatory and program requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop NFC Reader and Key Fob systems (hardware, software, and integration).
Lead design reviews with internal teams and external suppliers.
Create and review quality and regulatory documentation (FMVSS, ECE, RF certification, homologation).
Optimize packaging and RF performance of receiver modules.
Develop and execute DVP (bench, HIL, and vehicle testing).
Track issues and progress using FEDE and JIRA.
Manage part release and updates in WERS.
Support programs through launch, driving issue resolution and reporting status.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Chassis, Vehicle Ops).
Support APQP/PPAP processes and supplier/plant visits.
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree
2+ years of experience in automotive electrical systems (hardware, software, systems)
Experience with design and testing within automotive environments
Experience with vehicle network tools (CANalyzer or similar)
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with wireless technologies (NFC, RF, Bluetooth)
Experience with automotive regulatory compliance (FMVSS, ECE, homologation)
