Summary

The Product Codes & Compliance Program Manager serves as a hybrid Program Manager + Product Compliance Engineer responsible for:
  • Embedding regulatory requirements into the innovation process.
  • Ensuring compliance documentation, testing, and risk assessments are completed and maintained.
  • Supporting North American (US & Canada) product release readiness and market entry requirements.


The Product Codes & Compliance Program Manager will report to the Codes & Compliance Manager, Outdoor Living Solutions, at the Wilmington Innovation Center.

What You'll Do:

Program Management
  • Own end-to-end execution of assigned Decking and Railing portfolios through stage-gate processes, ensuring delivery of scope, schedule, budget, and technical requirements.
  • Define and maintain project scope, deliverables, milestones, and resource alignment in collaboration with R&D, Operations, and Product Management.
  • Lead portfolio-level reporting, ensuring transparent communication of progress, risks, and business impacts to leadership.
  • Aid in risk management analysis, product service resolution, quality assurance, and project communications.

Product Codes & Compliance
  • Interpret and apply IBC, IRC, and applicable state and local codes, converting requirements into clear design and test criteria.
  • Develop and maintain compliance strategies for new products, systems, and market entries, including approval pathways.
  • Integrate required testing (e.g., ASTM E84, ASTM E1354, NFPA 285 where applicable) into development plans and ensure alignment with validation needs.
  • Coordinate with external laboratories and agencies (Intertek, QAI, ICC-ES, CCMC, etc.) to define test programs, review results, and manage certifications.
  • Prepare, submit, and maintain compliance documentation (e.g., ESRs, CCRRs, technical files, and supporting packages) on specific projects.
  • Act as the primary liaison between internal teams and potentially external standards organizations to ensure consistent interpretation and application.


What You'll Bring:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, Architecture, Construction Management, Life Sciences, Regulatory Affairs, or related field
  • 8+ years of experience in product development, and/or regulatory compliance (or equivalent experience).
  • Minimum 3 years of demonstrated experience with program management, cross-functional leadership, and stakeholder engagement.
  • Working knowledge of US Building Codes (Canadian Codes a plus), and related compliance pathways.


OTHER SKILLS:
  • Strong ability to manage multiple complex projects simultaneously.
  • Strong ability to translate business requests in technical requirements for hand-off to internal and external engineering resources.
  • Excellent analytical skills to evaluate regulatory requirements and translate into business impacts.
  • High attention to detail with strong documentation discipline.
  • Effective communication skills (written, verbal, and presentation) across all organizational levels.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a matrix environment.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools and project management systems (e.g., Excel, Smartsheet, MS Project).
  • Leverages AI-enabled tools and digital technologies to enhance productivity, improve work quality, accelerate learning, and support data-driven decision making.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, able to build relationships internally and externally.


What You'll Receive:

As of the date of this posting, a good faith estimate of the current pay scale for this position is $115,000K to $125,000K. Placement in the range depends on several factors such as experience, skills, geography and internal equity and may change over time. This position qualifies for benefits and you will be eligible to participate in a bonus plan.
