Full Job Description
McKesson's Provider Solutions is experiencing significant growth, focus, and investment. To support our business goals, we are seeking a highly skilled Product Application Engineer to support our e-commerce application. In this role, you will become one of the subject-matter experts (SMEs) on the application. You will also provide world-class assistance to customers (internal & external) to resolve their issues within our e-commerce application.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deeply understand the e-commerce application and its integrations with both internal & external systems.
  • Support internal & external customers with support issues as well as provide an understanding of application capabilities.
  • Provide technical assistance that supports the implementation and maintenance of business systems.
  • Ability to document system design and functionality, creating and maintaining a thorough knowledge base.
  • Coordinate application releases, ensuring the appropriate change control process and release readiness checklist have been completed.
  • Coordinate with the software delivery team to understand new features that are being released to ensure adequate knowledge is maintained by this role for support needs.
  • Assist the production support team when needed to resolve system issues.
  • Support server maintenance such as certificate renewals and upgrades.
  • Ability to implement & enhance monitoring capabilities of the system to ensure desired system availability


Required experience and education
  • 4+ years of experience working in an application support role, showcasing ability to diagnose & debug issues.
  • Experience coordinating with development teams, product managers, internal support teams, and external customers.
  • Expertise with CI/CD tools and practices (e.g., Jenkins, GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps).
  • Experience with infrastructure automation tools (e.g., Terraform, Ansible, CloudFormation).
  • Working knowledge of microservices architecture, cloud-native and distributed application environments, and the troubleshooting implications of each.
  • Experience working in Agile software development environments. • Familiarity with automated testing frameworks and quality engineering practices, particularly as they support release readiness and regression validation.
  • Passion to learn with minimal guidance & assistance.
  • Experience working with logging, monitoring, and observability tools such as Dynatrace, LogRocket, Splunk, Datadog, or New Relic.
  • Experience completing Root Cause Analysis (RCA).
  • Experience working in a large system with multiple internal & external integration points, including (not limited to) APIs and database connections.
  • Demonstrated experience as a self-starter, motivated, and with the ability to determine solutions and solve problems independently.
  • Understanding of basic server & infrastructure configuration & set up. Experience working with SQL-based databases such as Oracle, SQL Server, or PostgreSQL, including writing stored procedures, writing complex queries for data analysis, query optimization, and understanding of the principles of relational database design (foreign keys, indexes, etc.). Familiarity with healthcare or other highly regulated, compliance-driven technology environments.
  • Excellent verbal & written communication skills.
  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience
