Position Summary

The Procurement Manager is responsible for managing vendor relationships, executing procurement strategies, and driving cost savings, service excellence, and operational efficiency across Rubicon's vendor network.

Reporting to Sr Manager, Strategic Sourcing, this role partners with vendors and internal stakeholders to support strategic sourcing, negotiate agreements, monitor supplier performance, and identify opportunities to optimize the supply chain.

Essential Duties & Key Responsibilities

  • Execute procurement strategies that support cost optimization, service quality, and operational efficiency across Rubicon's vendor network.
  • Work with Rubicon's Regional Sourcing Managers to analyze, review, and finalize a variety of analyses related to vendors and services within Excel and internal software.
  • Identify and implement cost-saving opportunities through sourcing initiatives, contract negotiations, and vendor performance improvements.
  • Negotiate pricing, service agreements, and other commercial terms with vendors while maintaining positive long-term partnerships.
  • Analyze procurement and operational data to identify trends, opportunities, and areas for process improvement.
  • Assist in managing vendor-related escalations and work collaboratively with internal stakeholders and vendors to achieve timely resolution.
  • Support network optimization efforts by evaluating service coverage, vendor capabilities, pricing structures, and operational efficiencies.
  • Partner with leadership to develop and implement strategic initiatives that improve profitability and strengthen vendor partnerships.
  • Prepare and present procurement analyses, recommendations, and performance updates to leadership.
  • Identify opportunities to leverage technology and process improvements to enhance procurement operations and vendor management activities.
  • Ability to travel and/or work onsite up to 25% on an annual basis.
  • Performs other duties as assigned or apparent.


Supervisory Responsibilities:

This position has no direct supervisory responsibilities but may provide mentorship, training, guidance, and functional leadership to team members and cross-functional partners as needed.

Experience & Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university or equivalent experience.
  • 5 years of experience in procurement, strategic sourcing, supply chain management, vendor management, or a related field.
  • Experience negotiating contracts, pricing agreements, and service-level expectations with suppliers or service providers.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data, identify trends, and make data-driven recommendations.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong organizational and project management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
  • Advanced in Microsoft Excel and other business intelligence, reporting, or procurement tools.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities with a focus on continuous improvement and operational excellence.
  • A proactive, can-do attitude with a willingness to take ownership of tasks and drive them to completion.
  • Ability to work independently while also being a team player who thrives in a collaborative environment.
  • Discretion and trustworthiness in handling sensitive information and supporting high-level strategic initiatives.
  • Proven ability to thrive in a fast-paced, evolving environment.
  • Travel and/or onsite work will be on an as needed basis.
