About the role:

Are you a seasoned procurement professional with a passion for process improvement, operational support, and team leadership? Do you excel at providing expert guidance and support to stakeholders while driving procurement strategies that align with organizational goals? Are you ready to lead a team and make a meaningful impact on our organization's procurement operations? If so, we want to hear from you!

As a Procurement Manager at the Software Engineering Institute (SEI), you'll play a critical role in leading our procurement team and driving process improvements that enhance operational efficiency and effectiveness. You'll work closely with stakeholders to provide expert guidance, support, and procurement leadership, ensuring that our procurement practices align with organizational objectives.

What you'll do:

- Process Improvement and Operational Support: Analyze and optimize procurement processes to improve efficiency, reduce costs, and enhance compliance. Identify areas for process improvement and implement changes that drive operational excellence.

- Stakeholder Support and Procurement Guidance: Provide expert procurement guidance and support to stakeholders across the organization, ensuring that procurement practices align with organizational goals and objectives.

- Team Leadership and Staff Development: Lead and develop a team of procurement professionals, providing coaching, mentoring, and training to ensure that team members have the skills and knowledge needed to excel in their roles.

- Purchasing Review and Administration: Oversee purchasing reviews, ensuring that procurement transactions are accurate, complete, and compliant with organizational policies and procedures. Manage procurement administration tasks, including contract management, vendor management, and reporting.

Who you are:

- Experienced Procurement Professional: You have at least 10 years of experience in procurement, with a proven track record of process improvement, operational support, and team leadership.

- Strategic Thinker: You develop and implement procurement strategies that align with organizational goals and objectives.

- Collaborative Leader: You build and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders, providing expert guidance and support to ensure that procurement practices meet their needs.

- Process Improvement Expert: You analyze and optimize procurement processes to improve efficiency, reduce costs, and enhance compliance.

- Excellent Communicator: You communicate effectively with stakeholders, team members, and vendors, ensuring that procurement practices are transparent and effective.
