The Manager, Supplier Management is responsible for the execution and operational management of the Procurement Supplier Management Framework. The role ensures supplier management practices are consistently implemented across procurement categories and that program standards, tools, and governance processes are effectively applied. The Manager collaborates with Category Sourcing and Vendor Management teams, Enterprise Vendor Oversight (EVO), Procurement Operations, and various Business Partners to drive supplier management initiatives, improve supplier performance oversight, and strengthen procurement capabilities across the organization.

  • Manage the day-to-day execution of the supplier management program across procurement categories.
  • Maintain program frameworks, tools, and documentation to ensure consistent supplier management practices.
  • Track program initiatives, deliverables, and milestones and ensure progress against defined objectives.
  • Coordinate governance processes and maintain oversight of program reporting and updates.
  • Build, maintain, and enhance recurring and ad hoc reports and dashboards (e.g., Excel, Power BI) used daily to support supplier, program, and executive-level data and insights.
  • Engage cross-functional stakeholders across procurement and business teams to ensure effective adoption of supplier management practices.
  • Provide guidance to sourcing and vendor management teams on supplier management processes, tools, and program requirements.
  • Prepare and deliver program updates, insights, and recommendations to leadership and key stakeholders.
  • Translate complex stakeholder requirements into clear, data-driven insights by leveraging Power BI dashboards, Excel-based analysis, and standardized metrics sourced from multiple systems
  • Execute supplier and category management processes, including supplier segmentation, performance monitoring, and program reporting.
  • Maintain and enhance program tools, templates, and documentation to support operational consistency.
  • Support the development and delivery of training and enablement activities to strengthen supplier management capabilities.
  • Design and maintain standardized data models, reporting templates, and analytical views to support supplier segmentation and program tracking.
  • Ensure adherence to operational risk, regulatory compliance, and internal control requirements in accordance with applicable frameworks and policies.
  • Maintain appropriate documentation and program controls in accordance with applicable risk management frameworks
  • Support risk, compliance, and remediation tracking through structured reporting solutions, including traceable data sources and documented logic.
  • Partner with supplier management managers, strategic sourcing managers, and Procurement business partners to ensure effective procurement delivery and supplier oversight across the Bank.
  • Collaborate with procurement, risk, and business partners to integrate data from multiple systems into consolidated reporting views using relational data concepts and SQL-based logic where applicable.
  • Actively pursues effective and efficient operations of his/her respective areas, while ensuring the adequacy, adherence to and effectiveness of day-to-day business controls to meet obligations with respect to operational risk, regulatory compliance risk, AML/ATF risk and conduct risk, including but not limited to responsibilities under the Operational Risk Management Framework, Regulatory Compliance Risk Management Framework, AML/ATF Global Handbook, and the Guidelines for Business Conduct.
  • Champions a high-performance environment and implements a people strategy that attracts, retains, develops and motivates team members by fostering an inclusive work environment, communicating vison/values/business strategy and managing succession and development planning for the team.
  • Collaborates with supplier management managers/strategic sourcing managers and the Procurement business partners to ensure ONEGPS support and delivery to our business partners across the Bank.

  • Knowledgeable in financial services and regulations (e.g., OSFI, OCC, CFPB, UDAAP) and how they are applied to Third Party relationships is preferred.
  • Strong working experience with MS Excel including advanced features, and PowerBI DAX.
  • Working knowledge of PowerQuery for data ingestion and manipulation an asset
  • Experience with MS Power Platform, including Power Automate (Flow) and PowerApps an asset.
  • General understanding of relational database management, data modeling and SQL
  • Strong business acumen and strategic thinking skills.
  • Knowledge and experience with state-of-the-art procurement and analysis technologies.
  • Strong understanding of supplier management and governance concepts including risk management applications and services.
  • Thorough understanding of Supplier Qualification, TPM, and TPRM processes
  • Ability to influence outcomes and decisions
