Job DescriptionJoin Sandisk's advanced memory technology development team in a rare director-level technical leadership role. As part of the device and productization team, you will drive the development of breakthrough memory technologies from pathfinding through productization while guiding cross-functional execution across the organization. This highly visible position offers broad technical ownership, executive exposure, and the opportunity to shape Sandisk's future technology and product roadmap.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities: - Define and drive technology development strategy, key milestones, and cross-functional execution across device, array, process, and design engineering.
- Responsible for memory performance and reliability assessment, analyzing electrical data from devices and arrays to understand behavior, performance tradeoffs, and failure mechanisms.
- Develop and enhance characterization methodologies and wafer-level test techniques for emerging memory technologies.
- Provide regular technical updates to executive leadership on program status, risks, and key technology decisions.
- Mentor senior engineers and future team members as the organization grows.
- Reinforce industry best practices and strengthen execution discipline.
QualificationsRequired:- PhD or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Physics, or related field with 12+ years of industry experience.
- Experience in electrical characterization and development of emerging memory technologies such as SOM, PCRAM, MRAM, FeRAM or ReRAM.
- Proven track record of bringing emerging memory technologies from early development through qualification and volume production.
- Strong understanding of semiconductor device physics, reliability, and failure mechanisms.
- Ability to translate complex technical findings into clear, actionable recommendations for executive and cross-functional audiences.
- Self-driven, able to manage multiple priorities and deliver results in a fast-paced development environment.
Preferred: - Demonstrated track record of innovation through patents, publications, and contributions to the company's intellectual property portfolio.
- Experience driving adoption of AI tools to accelerate engineering productivity and streamline technical work.
- Strong scripting, data analysis, test development, and automation skills.

- You will be eligible to participate in Sandisk's Short-Term Incentive (STI) Plan, which provides incentive awards based on Company and individual performance.
