Full Job Description
The Role:

As a Senior DevOps Engineer, you will take full ownership of the DevOps function for the Qubit Fulfillment Platform, a warehouse automation application that operates 24/7 globally. You will design, build, and operate the Azure infrastructure, deployment pipelines, and automation that product squads depend on to release safely and frequently. You will own the tooling and standards that make that possible, from infrastructure as code through to release orchestration and environment provisioning.

Key Qualifications:
  • Proficiency in cloud platforms, primarily focused in Microsoft Azure.


  • Proficiency in C# and Python, and in scripting with PowerShell or Bash.


  • Experience with Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform, Bicep, or Ansible, and with container orchestration using Kubernetes.


  • Understanding of networking concepts and protocols, including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, NAT, and routing


  • Knowledge of cloud security best practices and compliance requirements


  • Familiarity with security protocols such as SSH, HTTPS, IPsec, and AAA


  • Experience working with a 24x7 global application with high availability and uptime


  • Experience designing and operating CI/CD pipelines and release automation through gradual deployments with multiple services, ideally with Azure DevOps, CircleCI, and Octopus Deploy


  • Experience with observability and centralized logging tooling such as New Relic, Datadog, Prometheus, or Grafana


  • Experience with incident management, including on-call participation, root cause analysis, and post-mortem reviews


  • Proficiency in managing both Linux and Windows environments


  • Experience designing, developing, and managing global multi-tenant cloud-based infrastructure and applications, ideally with PostgresSQL, Elastic Cluster, etc.


  • Experience with distributed systems and fundamental algorithmic concepts


  • Ability to troubleshoot and solve issues with cloud-based processes


  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to address complex infrastructure challenges


  • Ability to work and collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement cloud solutions


  • Excellent communication skills to articulate technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders


  • Independent owner who can solve problems, provide architecture guidance, and execute with minimal oversight


  • Proven ability to mentor engineers and to establish DevOps standards and best practices across squads, including reviewing infrastructure and pipeline work produced by others
