Job Title: Senior Staff Engineer - Data Center Electrical Systems

Location: Irvine, CA

The job

We are seeking a Senior Staff Engineer with strong data center electrical experience to join our product development and services organization. You will work closely with software engineers, architects, and domain experts to design and build applications that support data center customers worldwide. This role blends deep electrical engineering expertise with product thinking, helping translate real-world data center challenges into scalable, high-impact software solutions. You'll join a collaborative, curious team that values technical excellence, trust, and global impact.

Key responsibilities

* Act as a technical authority on data center electrical systems within the product development team

* Define electrical requirements and use cases for applications supporting data center planning, operation, and analysis

* Collaborate with software engineers to translate electrical concepts into functional application features

* Review designs, calculations, and workflows to ensure technical accuracy and industry relevance

* Support global customers and internal teams with subject-matter expertise

Essential requirements

* Minimum 5 years of experience in data center electrical systems

* Strong understanding of power distribution, redundancy schemes, grounding, and protection in data centers

* Experience working with cross-functional teams, including software or product development teams

* Ability to clearly communicate complex electrical concepts to technical and non-technical stakeholders

* Masters degree preferred, Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field minimum

Salary Range:

$82,500.00 - $137,500.00

This pay range represents the minimum and maximum compensation that the position offers, and final compensation can vary within the range depending on work location, job experience, skills, and relevant educational attainment and/or training.
